The problem is most of their heads were turned years ago (some 10 or even 20 years ago) before anyone tried to point out the negatives of Brexit. By the time people started to argue against leaving, their minds had been made up and it was very easy to dismiss the arguments are scaremongering etc.. as they still do now.

Hahaha outstanding.

How much of this gooseberry fool will take to make people see we aren't independent and can't be due to the sheer volume of random stuff we import as we can't be strawberry floated to make it.

It's alright, we will have our amazing fishing industry to get money from. Its immense gains will bolster our treasuries.

We'll just fish for barnacles then. I'm willingly to take the hit to get behind my country.

Hopefully the blue passport will be the same shade of blue as that in the French flag.

That would actually be possible to do, have a close up of the union jack on the pages and then when its closed and youre looking from the side it would be a French flag.

Presumably it'll still be designed in the UK, the French will just be doing the printing.

We are lucky that Trump is President, the US continues to shield us from being the most embarrassing Western nation.

I look back at just a few years ago and it’s amazing how this country turned to gooseberry fool. London 2012 seems to have been the high point of the UK being a tolerant and open nation, since then we just seem to have been sliding backwards into a far right mess.

I don't know we're definitely gooseberry fool but a lot of countries seem to be doing their best to be as gooseberry fool as possible. Look at the Italian election the other week.

You that probably contributed to this, people felt very patriotic and "we are awesome" after that and it made it easy for UKIP etc. to drive the "we are the best, we should be in control" message home.
