Plus the only way it's likely to happen is if the National Front win the French presidency (and then win a referendum). You've got to be pretty psychopathic to be hoping for a NF victory.
I'm not looking forward to the collapse of the EU but it's pretty enevitable imo.
Evidence?
This article outlines a lot of obstacles the EU has to overcome this year.
https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/01/28/w ... trump.htmlIf more members start to leave, surely this undermines the need for the EU and the countries in Europe that aren't In the EU although not perfect seem to be doing ok.
Unemployment and austerity are real concerns in places like Spain and Italy.
None of that strikes me as being inevitable. There are challenges ahead but if anything most countries will be waiting to see how Britain gets on alone before risking it themselves.
Le Pen is unlikely to win in France, Wilders might "win" in the Netherlands but will be hobbled by their political system. Greece/Italy/Spain face tough economies but will realise they are better off in than out.
America and Turkey are pretty irrelevant when it comes to the EU holding together.
