Presumably some of the move is to do with Brexit and not wanting to pay import tariffs.

This could be the yammerings of a console fanboy.

Just as an aside, Ireland is again the fastest growing enonomy in the EU, fourth year in a row.

Some more details on Unilever’s move:

FT/The Times

It is believed Unilever will move around 15 jobs to Rotterdam, with the company opting to retain its building in London. Unilever said roughly 50 jobs would be cut among the two main HQs in London and Rotterdam.

It’s a genius way to keep us in the EU. Use a Russian nerve agent to poison a Russian in Salisbury and then everyone will want to bow down to the Brussels empire!

I'm pretty sure our house will never go below what we paid for it, this year and next though see's a major ramping up of house building so if we get that right, it should stop the bubble or at least normalize house pricing.

To put things in perspective though we have neighbors who bought 10 years ago and almost paid double what we did plus they will still be paying their mortgage 5 years after ours. Mental.

I've not watched the clip but it seems that guy must have read my tinfoil hat conspiracy in the thread and took it seriously.

Cheeky Devlin wrote:Tinfoil hat based speculation here....

Kill the former Russian spy, blame it on Moscow and use it as a pretence to cancel Brexit (Which she knows is lose/lose). Higher tensions with Russia (possibly leading to more serious events) put us in a position where "now is not the time" for Brexit. It allows her to appear strong and decisive, get's her out of the Brexit mess (Or very least punts it down the road a fair bit) and strengthens ties with our allies. The downside to this plan is potential nuclear annihilation though so that makes it unlikely (But still possibly preferable to Brexit).

I don't actually believe any of that by the way, but I enjoy thinking up alternative scenarios.

Anyone who believes this is a ploy to stop Brexit is a frothing nutjob.

I've heard people express the same idea in 48% groups on Facebook. It's depressing as strawberry float.

Odd for the Mail to be criticising another newspaper for being foreign-owned and given away for free. Has Lord Rothermere stopped registering as a non-dom and the Mail no longer available on British Airways?

The way that's structured at the start makes it look like they're talking about themselves, which makes it even funnier.

And the Mail is famous for its objective and impartial Brexit reporting. :slol:
