Lying about the EU, the Irish and remainers will work perfectly, just as it already has.
It won't help implement Brexit, nor help tear up the Good Friday Agreement. Thats my point.
Will it get supporters? Sure...but not new ones. Not new MPs either, in a government which whether it likes it or not that is strongly pro-Remain.
Add that in with the UKs limited ability to negotiate and I don't see how we leave paralysis mode anytime soon, unless government gets a spine and sucks out the venom. They pretty much cannot proceed unless they go with the softest of Brexits and sorta pretend that its some great victory for Britain and the narrative spins to that. Nothing else makes any kind of sense unless they have actually lost the plot.
I don't think May is queen Brexiteer. I think she wants to maintain a balance, but she has to be 'seen' to come across as hard Brexit because of her weak position in her party. Its a totally impossible situation.
