This is not the first time you have posted in this manner. I too do not understand why people would think Brexit is a good idea however Any further posting like this will result in a 1 month ban from this thread.

No swearing, eh? Fair enough.

Swearing is fine, I think Albear is referring to calling people banana splits and idiots.

banana splits is a swear. And a lot of these people are idiots. That can't be denied.

I said swearing is fine, the issue was calling people a name.

Saying "Brexit is a load of old strawberry floating banana spliting bollocks!" is fine.

Saying "Anyone who voted Brexit is an idiotic banana split" is a personal insult and the mods will take issue with it.

Fair enough. It's hard to separate Brexit from the people who voted for it but I'll do so for the sake of not being a jerk. :(

Is it really a personal insult if it's a generalization though?

:?:

Like.

'Moggy is a clungsicle' is personal (hypothetically speaking ;))
'Anyone from Bristol is a clungesicle' isn't.

In actually Brexit news

Donald Trump has said the White House is planning a “big and exciting” trade deal with the UK after Brexit because “you don’t hear the word Britain anymore”.

In an interview the US President said he had a “very good relationship with the Prime Minister” and said he was “absolutely looking to do a major trade deal”.

Asked if he could say more about the plans, Mr Trump said: “No, but I can say that we’re going to be very involved with the UK. I mean, you don’t hear the word Britain anymore. It’s very interesting. It’s like, nope.”

What the hell is that idiotic banana split talking about?

Despite being a lefty snowflake, I don't give a gooseberry fool what anybody calls me. Being called a clungsicle might not be nice, but I will not lose sleep over it.

Calling people from Bristol clungsicles though is likely to result in me reporting you and forcing Karl to ban you.

I understand the frustration. You get bombarded with so many negative articles or reports on this process, you wonder what the hell we are doing it for. We are exposing ourselves to so much risk, on a foundation of misinformation, promises that probably won't be fulfilled and foolish patriotism.

As an example, I seen that You Gov poll where some people polled as being happy with family members losing jobs, as long as this goes through. I mean, that is basically sociopathic behaviour.

Bristol is a left wing conspiracy. There is no such place anyone who says their from there is an actor hired by Eddie Izzard.

Generally they were old people weren't they happy for the younger generation to pay that price.

"Brextremists" was a word I've seen used totally just made up for them.

There's gonna be a aged based split in the country soon. I'd put a (small) amount of Karl's money on it.

Yeah I had that question come up the other day. I don't know what these people see as good if that happens. Like what do they see as so so so bad that no jobs nd stuff is a worthy cost.

The only reasons I have ever seen (and I disagree with them all) are sovereignty, the EU being a dictatorship, being able to make our own laws, stopping immigration, signing trade deals with other countries and fishing rights.

Sovereignty/EU dictatorship is obviously bollocks.

Making our own laws is bollocks.

Stopping immigration is possible I guess outside of the EU, but it isn't going to happen as we need immigration.

Trade deals are possible, but I can't see the benefit in signing deals with Tuvalu over Germany. We might get a big win when Trump sends us chlorinated chicken though.

Fishing rights is possible, but I can't see it making much difference to the British way of life.

Is there anything else?

Because they have fully bought into the lies and propaganda that although things might be hard at first, we will be much better off later on. Or because they have been told that the EU is about to collapse so we will get a head start on them. Or they are scared that refugees are coming. Or that Turkey are about to join. Etc etc.

It’s far easier to fool somebody than to convince them that they have been fooled.

I think it highly unlikely that anyone who holds a different view to your own will join this debate if they are referred to as "morons". Nothing personal, Errkal, but please could you avoid using such phrases so that folk feel comfortable enough to share their viewpoint here? Thanks.

I was referring to the people that are cool with their and those around thems lives going down the shitter for it. Not Brexit supporters in general. I dont understand why you would be for it but thats my view, they support it and ok fair enough, but to be willing to have youe life and those you loves lives ruined to "get free" is moronic.
