It's still fairly early in the states.

I suspect they hang around just to get angry at stuff whereas on sites which simply echo their views like Fox News, Breitbart or Stormfront they would just sagely nod and say nothing, "why yes Mr. Jezza1488HH, immigration IS the source of all our problems!" rather than getting in a strop.

I miss the days when all I had to avoid was the letters page in the Mail and Points of View.

From what I've seen Breitbart and Stormfront comments are just people getting unreasonably pissy about what ever happens to be going on that day.

That said I am starting to see that some of the left wing rhetoric isn't particularly helpful. I do actually think at some stage both sides, or at least the reasonable section of those sides will have to come together and try and find some kind of common ground.

This is the internet, where you have to have an absolute and maximalist opinion on EVERYTHING or else you're a limp liberal/hand-wringer/traitor/normal person.

Say you did think it up in May as an alternative fact. There's no evidence for it, but its a fact.

I think is a lot of people in the middle who are pretty reasonable. The way things are going the country is going to rip its self apart.

But apparently that's fine as long as the majority are happy to rip the country apart.

I wonder if there's a possibility that Labour just won't listen to Corbyn's 'vote to trigger' command.

Possible but they still wouldn't have the numbers in the Commons to stop it.

Thought this, but it's nice to have it clarified.

I expect Labour not to fall in line. The party is extremely good at arguing with themselves these days.

I've seen a few journalists mention their labour sources have said there could be as many as 60-80 Labour MPs prepared to defy Corbyn if he invokes the whip.

I expect 338 MPs to vote to invoke article 50 and 312 to vote against it. Anything else is undemocratic and a clear violation of the will of the British people!

Will be interesting to see which ones cover areas which heavily voted Leave. Will Labour MPs respect their constituency or ignore it and vote for what they want safe in the knowledge their seats are safe seats?

The Copeland and Stoke by elections will be Leave areas. Possible test of how voters feel.
