Even the Independant using the dreaded ' ' on that Twitter post (oddly missing in the article itself).

Nestle has said this was on the cards irrespective of Brexit. Now whether you believe them or not is another matter, but seeing as Kraft/Heinz have been moving the likes of Cadbury's, Terry's chocolate orange and HP sauce to Europe long before Brexit because it allows them to do everything on the cheap, I'm willing to believe Nestle.

I thought the low pound was supposed to make manufacturing more attractive?

Is that the new Leaver excuse when things turn bad?

Perhaps we could have mitigated some of the worse effects of globalism by being part of the large internal market of a union of geographically and politically similar countries which would work together to protect their mutual interests.

Can we threaten to take back the English language if we don't get good trade deals?
All we have to do is invent some kind of global mindwipe that just selects people we don't get a good deal from.

I expect there are a lot of things we can do, just depends on who is going to be handling the deals from the UK side and how tough they are prepared to be. If I was dealing I'd be looking for a win-win, if not, win-lose (with win for me). If that isn't possible, I'd play for a lose-lose.

Yes?

Although I voted to stay in and think leaving is stupid I feel we can be sensible and get a deal where both parties get something they like I just fear that there won't be time and stupid gooseberry fool like immigration (I'm fine with being able to control the borders but the people already here need to be treated with respect just as we'd hope British people living in Europe would be) will cause problem when it really doesn't need to and we all end up being gooseberry fool on.

The problem is that the only real lose state for the EU is to give us what we want.

If they concede to give the UK access to the EU market for free then they speed up the break up of the whole EU. Any other possibility is going to hurt us.

They'll offer us a deal that will probably look include free moment of people from the EU and will end up with us taking most EU regulation but having no say on the future of that regulation.

If we refuse the deal then the UK economy will lose a huge amount of its international investment to the EU.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.
