Although my favourite one from a friend and colleague was "Turkey are going to join the EU soon and then loads of them will be moving here like the Polish did. Enough is enough."

Where do you start with that?

Absolutely not.

But the idiots, racists and Mail readers were pretty much all Brexit voters.

Not all the idiots voted leave. Thousands didn't vote remain because they thought it was going to win easily.

I'd start by saying that the UK would have had a veto on Turkey joining. Plus I can't see Cyprus and Greece allowing it either.

I mean the best argument about that, is to point out that Turkey are no where near meeting the requirements for joining the EU and are actually taking steps backwards away from meeting those requirements, but I doubt they'd except it.

That's why I said pretty much.

I'd imagine all (or as close to all as you can imagine) racists voted Leave.

Most Mail readers would have, I'd imagine some of them didn't though, not all Mail readers are rampant Europhobes.

Idiots is harder to tell and is subjective anyway. Most of the absolute idiots I know and see online were Brexit supporters, but I'm sure a fair few Remain voters are dumbasses.

If you can find the tweet with that pic on it, the replies are hilarious.

However I do think a lot of people voted leave for what they felt were valid reasons. Whilst they could have been (and could prove to be) mistaken - I think it's dismissive to think that only certain undesirables or half wits wanted out.

I'm pretty un-happy with a lot of the reaminers on youtube. There was an article on the Weatherspoons boss post onto a remainer group and all the comments were basically calling him an idiot or worse. I guess part of it is just venting, but really you should be trying to actually counter what he's saying.

These were the reasons given during the referendum, weighted by popularity:

Every single leave voter I have encountered on social media or in real life are bona fide fuckwits.

I have yet to be given one single reason why leaving is a good idea. The £350million argument has gone, they're realising that in fact we actually control our own borders, and that the EU who are apparently bullies for sticking up for their members :fp: don't actually need us more than we need them

Who'd have thunk it.

At least we're getting british NHS workers ay Captain Red Dog.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Oh I'm sure it does, if it doesn't send you just as loopy in the end! I recall that all the psychiatry students at Uni. were very strange beings indeed! I'm old enough to be shocked/surprised by very little that human beings do now, I'm afraid. However, that doesn't mean that such shocking behaviour is not sometimes just plain depressing...

Yeah I know what you mean.

One of my patients said it best a few years ago - in relation to psychiatric staff.

'If you work in the paint factory - you get speckled with paint!'
