Only in vaguest possible terms - exactly as before. We want out, but we want creative ideas to mitigate effects of our choices. Incredibly light on pragmatic, practical ideas - just optimistic moon on stuck demands

It basically said

"We never felt part of your special club"
"Please give us a new great deal to be access the best bits of your special club"

3 hours they took to write that dross.

Not sure what in there is going to make the EU go back on it's 27 state agreed negoiation guidelines, but we'll see.

Jeremy Corbyn in response...

"She's had 15 months to think about [a transitional deal] and she's gone all the way to Florence...just to tell us what we already know."

So this speech was literally nothing. She's said nothing new, presented no new arguments or offers, it was utterly pointless for all involved.

She's in a headlock.

The minute she is truthful is the minute she falls on her sword.

I don't think I want to watch this speech when I go home. But I will.

From day one it was obviously clear that the UK hasn’t had the balls, belief, confidence or trust in its world position to pull off a successful Brexit...witnessing our PM wringing her hands in Florence today assuring we will pay our way but can we have a bit more time please merely reinforces this. We have zero bargaining power and up gooseberry fool creek in so many ways.

Will watch for the body language. Her last few speeches have been really interesting in regards to that.

6 or 7 I'd say. Some things clarified and some feathers ruffled. Mainly the eurosceptic Tories and Farage.

Surely if Farage is upset - she achieved something.
