Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Definitely getting this (assuming it has good reviews) once I've got through some of my backlog.

Yes?

Watched the Digital Foundry short PS4 video on this and ordered it. Loved the first and the initial technical issues are resolved. Looks like a great sequel.

Played the first 2 chapters, its exactly like TEW1, the first chapters are just setup, mostly just walking and picking up items, but its already atmospheric as strawberry float and had memorable moments in its opening 30 minutes. Apparently the real gameplay starts in Ch 3, again, just like in TEW1, so cant wait to play more tonight

I've just read that completing the game unlocks something.

(Non-story spoiler.)
In a throwback to the complaints about the original game at launch, completing the game unlocks cinematic letterboxing mode, with the delightfully sarcastic message:
"You've unlocked the ultimate reward: A more cinematic game experience!"

This is the death of intelligence

I don't know if its just NG being hard as gooseberry fool until youre upgraded, but I'm on chapter 4, survival difficulty, and this game is strawberry floating MURDERING me. And I loved TEW1, finished it like 4 times. But this seems crazy difficult. Those god damn enemies that are like a clicker from Last of Us crossed with the L4D witch strawberry floating wreck me, you cant even sneak kill them. And the Pistol just seems weak as gooseberry fool and the enemies move so much lining up headshots on them is impossible.

Its a great game so far but god damn ive had some seriously annoying combat moments

Very TLoU isn't it.

Combat is tough, pays to avoid enemies atm, I'm on chapter 3, much more expansive than last time, and more NPC's which i like.

Yeah I don't really remember TEW1 being this hard to be honest. The speed of the enemies really makes it harder to get any kind of headshots too. One thing I dislike is how janky the combat feels by comparison to TEW1 which was for all its flaws absolutely rock solid when it came to combat. Like a lot of the systems just don't seem to work well, or work randomly. The sneak kill from cover seems to only happen if youre incredibly lucky, and if you stun an enemy its next to impossible to tell if they're in a kill state, like you can shoot an enemy in the knee, they'll stop moving and grab their leg which in TEW1 meant you could one hit kill knife them, but in this is just seems to mean "his leg is a wee bit sore but otherwise hes grand". Even stuff like the smoke arrows, I smoked a whole crowd of enemies, then ran in to knife them and whether I was crouching behind them or standing in front of them, I still got no melee prompt, the smoke cleared, and I got strawberry floating ganked.

Having said that ive still really enjoyed what ive played. The atmosphere is great, the setting is great, and the art and monster design is amazing. A great game but so far, id say id still put TEW1 as the better overall.

I did quite like the first game, despite my aversion to survival horror games. I got this game for just £25.99 (PC, Steam) from cdkeys.com, including DLC. Compared to the frankly ridiculous (and insulting) £49.99 Playstation are asking for the digital download, I thought that was quite reasonable. I mean, that's quite literally twice as much. I don't understand why there is such a huge price disparity and I've never heard an explanation for this kind of thing that I can believe.

Have you got the shotgun? It makes combat a lot easier.

Sebsastian is such an arsehole, though. I mean, I really don't like him at all. Right from the start, he's a total pr*ck and HE'S ALWAYS SHOUTING.

When Kidman knocks him out with an injection, telling him she doesn't have time for his bullsh*t, I'm quite grateful for her intervention.

:slol: make sure you set what weapons you have to the d-pad so you don't have to keep opening the item wheel with LB. Tip on the shotgun do the side quest looking gkr the Mobius signak rather than looking for the signal with the girls voice and you should come across the shotgun.

It doesn't matter if you can't get to grips with changing weapons with the d-pad, since opening the weapon wheel pauses the action entirely, unlike the first game.
