I'm hoping this is more like the first half of the original rather than the action packed batshit-insane second half. Crazy that it's out in just a few months.
And no letterboxing thank strawberry float.

Those bullets points almost make it sound like they've taken heavy inspiration from Silent Hill in the way they're approaching the story and characters. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Agreed, I enjoyed the whole game, other than some frustrating difficult bits.

You should replay it. The second half is actually pretty good just more action heavy. Also it's actually only about 4 chapters out of 15. If you do NG+ and you're fully tooled up, the last chapters can be pretty damn enjoyable
Think i got to some sort of pit where it fires all monsters at you in waves and i ran out of ammo. Got annoyed and gave up tbh.

Did you try dropping the difficulty? I remember that bit, it did take quite a few attempts and multiple swear word combos.

The first was such an unexpected treat. I consider it more of a sequel to RE4 than any actual RE game. I just hope the new one manages more than 20 fps on PS4.

Isn't the first game fine now if your a Pro owned using Boost Mode?

I didn’t follow the plot of the 1st game at all so I’m not hugely up for this. I doubt the story matters in games like this.
I finished the 1st game, all on my own...quite proud of that

The story wasn't terrible actually, for a Japanese horror game. You can just tell it's going to go Resident Evil levels of batshit though. I don't think they can help themselves.

Will be getting this tomorrow. Hopefully its better than the first. I enjoyed it. But the end sections were gooseberry fool

Watched the Digital Foundry short PS4 video on this and ordered it. Loved the first and the initial technical issues are resolved. Looks like a great sequel.
