Hana yeah, it's an interesting move isn't it. I guess they got a chuffing great discount, and it will give Honda double the data so hopefully it will help them get their gooseberry fool sorted.

Eddie Jordan claiming that McLaren using Mercedes from 2018 is a done deal. Eric Boullier is denying this completely. Eddie Jordan can come across as whole-can-o-crazy but his inside knowledge and tips do tend to have some weight to them. Will be interesting to see if this happens.

Would it not cost a friggin fortune to cut outbid the deal? Also, wasn't the point as a Merc customer you won't beat the Merc team, Merc seem to really hamstring their customers in some way as they don't come close despite also being Merc power.

Honda are gooseberry fool but it can't stay that way, I think they need to work with them and they will work out in the end.

You know I don't think Alonso is much of a help with the McLaren issues. He seems like he would just walk of and not give anything helpful in feedback.

I've not been his biggest fan in the past but I cannot blame him in the slightest.

I'm not saying he is the cause, but this have a strop thing must cause annoyance and not really help them

Looks like Grosjean turned on before the corner and should have just backed out of that.

What can he say at this point?

The car didn't even finish the formation lap.
"Hey guys, my Honda lawnmower is faster than this shitheap and it hasn't blown up once since I bought it. Can we use an engine like that instead?'

Looking like a Bottas win unless they nerf it.

To be fair - can't blame Palmer for that. That was on Grojean IMO. The rest is correct though ;)

Will be interesting to see if this tire strategy is going to work for Ferrari

SNORE

With F1 it feels like I always go into it optimistic of a good race, but more often than not it's just dull. I thought Bahrain was pretty good, but feels like a return to the norm today. Not good when interesting and exciting races are once-in-a-blue-moon events.

Yeah I agree, it needs more teams with good engines/cars. Just 2 is not good enough. Clearly Mercedes do something to hold back their customers and that should be stopped and it would be instantly more interesting.

The most exciting thing about this so far is how great Russia/this track has looked from the flyovers.
