not just no power steering no traction control either i agree the skill required back then is crazy. Another perfect example of that is Brazil 91 Senna stuck in 6th gear and he gets the car home it practically breaks him the effort skill to get there.

Apparently, Alonso is the fourth quickest driver with the average of 230.8mph. It must be incredible feeling to keep the average speed at 230mph!

Pfft, the Fast and Furious guys would manage that in a Vauxhaul Nova with a decent nitrous kit.

Always a relief when you see them moving after a crash like that.

I knew Alonso was good but very impressed with what he has already managed in Indy.

Some sources said around 2m extra people tuned in to watch Fernando's qualify run and I'm sure it is more than the people who watched the entire Formula One race lately?

Global or UK only? I believe UK combined viewing figures of the Spanish GP were over 2 million.

http://www.dailysportscar.com/2017/05/2 ... crash.html

The racing world was watching yesterday as Fernando Alonso made his qualifying runs at Indianapolis Motor Speedway – his performance did not disappoint!

The headlines today though, quite correctly, are of the man that looked more than capable of topping the times, and by a distance, until, on his third flying lap, at well over 220 mph, it all went wrong for Sebastien Bourdais coming out of Turn One.

The impact was horrifying, and, as reported yesterday evening by our friends at racer.com, after being taken straight to hospital, the diagnosis was that he had suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis and a fracture to his right hip.

I know it's not related to Formula One but World Super Bikes Nicky Hayden has died.

He was Listening to music and pulled out of junction without looking for on coming traffic? What an idiot :fp:

Vandoorne has to comfortably beat Button at Monaco this weekend, his stock would take a huge hit if the old man turns up without driving the car before and does a number on him. If that happened McLaren should just bring Button back for the rest of the season.

Vandoorne :fp:

Button out 7 months and only needed a dozen laps to be on his pace :fp:

I now fully expect him to give Vandoorne a good hiding when it matters in qualifying and the race. Why was Vandoorne hyped up for years?

And once again McLaren have dropped another driver bollock, first Perez, then Magnussen, and now Vandoorne, absolute gooseberry fool :x

Does anybody know where I can watch Indy 500 live tomorrow?

I'm little excited about Indy 500 than Monaco to be honest.

Cheers both of you.

Lewis Hamilton didn't make into the final qualify, but Jenson Button is. :slol:
