Yeah that's the problem liberty have got to be honest. I would assume that they are keen to keep a UK grand prix as from what I've seen they understand the importance of the UK market. But if Silverstone can't make it profitable with some of the highest attendances in F1 then I don't see much hope in a different UK circuit being able to do so.

It makes sense for them to charge the tracks less really, I mean they make money from other areas as well anyway and if it is less of a cost to the tracks then there is more chance the tickets will be more affordable and more people wil go.

I always thought it was odd that the track has to pay, I would have thought F1 would be highering the track rather than the track paying them and then having to do all the sales etc.

This mess is all down to CVC and Bernie milking the sport for as much money as possible before selling. Liberty Media might get a short term loss if they have to renegotiate with a lot of organisers but they really seem to be about the long term future of the sport which is nice to see after the gooseberry fool with the previous owners.

The UK is the home of F1 so even if we do lose Silverstone I'd imagine some other track would attempt to get up to code or we could finally have that London street race.

In slightly better news, Kubica will test the current Renault at the Hungaroring.

Surprised that Hamilton didn't bother to turn up for that, given he's talked about other sports promoting themselves better than F1, etc. Good opportunity for some promotion at your home GP and he pisses off fans by not attending. I doubt Liberty are too happy either.

Didn't seem to go down well with people that were there and I'm sure I read today about him going on about support from his home country.

You'd have thought Hamilton had punched someones grandmother with the way some people are reacting to him not going to the London event. I dislike the guy but let him do what he wants with his life, he doesn't owe the fans a thing.

Some shots of the Shield on Vettel's Ferrari.

That looks alright, much better than the halo gooseberry fool.

Bet it will clog up with bugs and gooseberry fool over a race though and bugger visibility

Would that have protected Massa though from the spring off Barrichello's car? Doesn't look like it would protect debris from as many angles as the halo might.

Be interesting to see if Lewis picks up a penalty for possibly impeding Grosjean. Great couple of laps from Lewis and Kimi at the end and was impressed by Hulkenberg throughout.

Edit: No further action for the Hamilton/Grosjean incident.
