I'd be happy for Hamilton to keep his points but have a season length talking ban.

FFS Vettel
not the end of the world obviously but still annoying!
Still a great drive from Hamilton though, how he wasn't penalised was remarkable though, Raikkonen penalised previously for doing just that yet Hamilton gets away with a slap on the wrist? How hard is it to get the same bunch of stewards at each race so we get some consistent stewarding and decisions when awarding penalties and the like. Hulkenberg also quietly getting the job done, I really hope Renault keep him around for when they can challenge for podiums and wins, with the right car under him I really could see him having a good crack at the WDC.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/44961301Looks like McLaren have poached James Key from Toro Rosso. Could be a good move as he's highly rated and was considered by some as Newey's eventual successor.

They also have another of Newey's right hand men at McLaren, Peter Prodromou and look how that panned out for them. I'm not saying it won't help of course as James Key is highly rated but I get the feeling McLaren might have deeper set issues than just hiring the right people.

Not even Newey himself could make McLaren competitive these days.

Old Hockenheim was legendary, if i was in charge of the track i'd want the original layout restored.

shame we dont see battles like that nowadays thanks to the gimmick of DRS. As it showed a drivers skill when the found their way past or pressured the other driver into making a mistake

Stroll Racing incoming then
Imagine being so gooseberry fool at f1 that the only way to stay in it is to get your dad to buy the team.

Stroll has been linked with the seat already hasn't he?
I just find it amazing that a team that's finished 4th in the previous 2 seasons is having money issues, I know the payout system is skewed towards the older teams but still, they always hark on about having one of the smaller budgets on the grid (well the media do anyway), is Vijay just robbing the money from the team and not paying suppliers instead?
If that's the case with Stroll I really hope Williams take a punt with Kubica, just give him a season and see what happens, sadly they probably won't advance much up the grid this year so it won't be an attractive seat to a lot of drivers.

Yeah it was a very good qualy session, Mercedes lucked out a little with it being wet as in the dry I reckon it'd have been a Ferrari 1-2. Oh well hope the race is dry!
