I don't understand:

1 - why would someone actually create this; and
2 - what do they hope to achieve by sharing it

Facebook is so bizarre, I just don't understand its purpose.

Raising awareness. But likely doing a gooseberry fool job of it.

It ‘raises awareness’.

Had a proper argument years ago with some daft lassie from school who actually had kids who thought it was okay to share a picture of a baby being strangled because it was raising awareness. No link or info on what to look out for in signs of abuse or where to go if you suspect it. Just a graphic picture telling us this baby died or something. Awful, fake or not. Even confronting her suggesting that if her kids were abused by anyone, would she be happy for the world to share pictures of their lifeless bodies on Facebook, still absolutely not budging from ‘its raisin awareness hun xx’

Well it’s not, there are no Bibles out there with a health warning written on them.

Plus tobacco killed more than the first and second world wars together.

Do you have to spend eternity dressed in exactly the same clothes you were wearing when you died? Is he not allowed to take his helmet off? Seems pointless to be wearing something to stop you getting a bullet in the head when you're already dead.

He's dead so has to wear those clothes. That's the spirit laws.

It's more worrying that she is still alive and is forced to go to the graveyard in her wedding dress.

By the looks of him he must have died in his sleep, that combat gear looks brand new.

People create these things to feel better about themselves; their "good deed" for the day. Social media is a platform for self-promotion and expression, regardless of whether anyone is listening or paying attention. Its public virtue-masturbation at its most fundamentally selfish and gauche. I always think of this image in response:
