Spector was caught and is either dead or in jail and Stella found Rose Stag. Mission accomplished.

Hmm, plot wise sure. I've always enjoyed the show as more of a character study than anything else though so for me, I want the see the fallout and continue to dig a little deeper before wrapping it up. I've no idea what that looks like in terms of a narrative structure though, so I guess I can't really complain too much.

Only thing I can think of is;

If they do a trial. Though they have a confession and everything so god know what else they could do

I'd like to see it continue as well. Even if at points I've found the plotting to be really "fortunate." Maybe once the girl is older. After her stint in prison. Although I've no idea how long this would be. Spector could still be a figure of influence from prison.

If it doesn't carry on then I kind of like the end actually. Its ending on that moment of life slipping away. Leaving the audience (and Stella) in the position Spector wanted his victims to be.

They could always move Stella somewhere else on a new case. Away from puppy dog corrupt police officers.

Maybe season 3 will surprise me but I can't see why it exists. Season 2 was a fine ending.

Didn't make much of the first episode of season 3 at all. Would need to do something special next week or I'll probably slack it off sharpish.

Just as terrible this week as last, think I'll not bother any more. That whole amnesia story arc :slol: Deary deary me. Plus the child actor that plays Paul's daughter is so bad.

I've liked the first two episodes. It's very slow but it always has been.

Just watched the 4th episode last night. Not a great deal is happening in the story but I am slightly intrigued about how this will end and how this would be dealt with if this kind of thing happened in real life.

A real slow burner but I'm enjoying it. Less sensational than previous season two.

Tense.

I think part of the problem is that the past 2 series have been about the case - all exciting and gruesome. With this series it's naturally going to feel different. Although whether going for 4 (probably 6) episodes of straight follow up as opposed to a trial was the best thing I'm not sure.

If the outcome is he turns around in episode 6 and goes 'oh yes it was me, I was evil all along' it'll feel a bit anticlimactic. No idea where it's going.

I thought that was a very satisfying conclusion. I'll miss Jamie Dornan but I'd love to see another season with a new case.

I think they aired it last Friday in the UK too. I didn't bother watching past ep 2, but went back and watched the finale on iplayer after my gf told me how it ended :slol:

hmm. I saw it was on last Friday but I thought it was just Thursday's episode being repeated. If it has been shown, I'll watch it on iPlayer tonight.

Watched the last episode last night. Surprising, but not really the ending I would have liked.

I think this last series could have been shaved down to 3 episodes without losing anything of value.
