Yeah, it's basically my dream job  I mean, I bet it's not as wonderful as the books and documentaries make out, but I still want to give it a shot.

Would be immense to get to go to work and make stuff like that

@LOM: You've probably mentioned it before, but what were you in hospital for? Sounds pretty major if you were there for 12 weeks :o

Frank wrote:Hey, G-Rat! Can't you just get an Oyster Card when you get to London? If you're up there a few times a year it works out cheaper than buying individual tickets all the time.

Yeahh, I considered this, but I'm only there for my interview in a couple of weeks, and again at the end of the month. I guess if I get through, I'll be needing to go again though...

How much is one, and how do I acquire one? Is it a lengthy process?

EDIT: Also, lol at the bot on the JET forums. all about bridal dresses.  :fp:

I think it's a fiver for the card itself, then you just top it up at the station (or online) whenever you need to. You can apparently buy them online and they'll post one to you, if you want to prepare in advance: https://oyster.tfl.gov.uk/oyster/entry.do

I'm only in London probably twice a year, but they're still really useful for the Underground.

Cheers. Come to think of it, might as well be worth it, and I can always cash it back in for the £5 if I'm feeling stingy. :shifty:

Can't choose delivery address though. :x

Apparently not. It's a shame because I liked the tradition due to a) it being fun to read and b) it being my idea.
