I remember when I was on Diazepam a few years ago when I was suffering from panic attacks. I found it did absolutely nothing, but it was a low doseage. My GP said he didn't want to give me the more powerful ones as sometimes people start to rely on them.

20mg. For gooseberry fools and giggles, really.

From the experiences I've heard from other people, I was expecting a sense of relaxation and warmth similar to codeine, with a little alcohol-like intoxication thrown in. All it did was strawberry float up my balance and put me in a deep sleep for about 5 hours before waking up feeling fantastic. No drowsiness before hand though.

I surely hope you aren't going to take it regularly!

For real? If I acquire some more in the future, I'll bare that in mind.

And why would I take it regularly? I was given some by someone I trust, and after checking dosages, potential reactions, and desired effects, desired to pop those strawberry floaters. I'm not suddenly a scrip fiend.

20 mg is too much and you said no effect - it knocked you out for five hours you pudding!

If you want it to take the edge of you need 2-5mg. Ten at the absolute maximum. 20mg is just overkill. You really shouldn't take it regularly without prescription either. It can be addictive and the withdrawal is nasty.

Be sensible.

I don't know if anyone this forum, apart from a few, know what sensible even means.

The 20mg was over the course of about an hour; 10mg at about 10:20, and another 10mg some time after that. And the five hour sleep was just that, really. I went to bed as normal and slept for five hours. No drug induced drowsiness, no blackouts, no amnesia, all of which I've experienced from other drugs. Just a loss of balance and a deep sleep.

I won't be taking it regular because it wasn't that great. I had two 10mg tablets and don't intend of seeking out any more, unless someone I know gets some more. Plus, you know, I wasn't taking it for anxiety relief or other medicinal reasons. This changes the recommended dose, somewhat. I could see that it'd have its uses after I've been climbing/caving/need a comedown, though.

Appreciate the advice and concern, Denny.

I was on 2-5 I think. I didn't really notice anything sadly. Wish I did.

Alright I've just signed up to join the council house list. I was expecting to be bottom of any needs-based scale, but I'm in second category! I asked why I was so high on the scale when there are single-mothers, asylum seekers and other worthy people that need help. The interviewer explained to me that it was because I was privately renting which automatically puts me up there.

Wasn't expecting that. :?
