This is it...the big one. For Xbox 360 owners only!

Here is how it's going to work;

- There will be a maximum of either 16, 24 or 32 teams. This is because the first round of the cup is going to be a group stage, so if we get say 23 names (the ultimate worst case scenario) I will have to cut 7 teams, which I really don't want to do but I will have to do to make the whole thing fair.

- You can choose any club team EXCEPT BARCELONA, as everyone would probably choose them. You will be able to select a team already selected by someone else, for example, I'm choosing Man Utd but anyone else can choose them as well. It would be nice to get a good variation on teams but this is not a rule, merely a request, feel free to ignore it utterly. After you choose a team you have to stick with them for the entirety of the competition, so choose wisely. International teams are not allowed (if this is a success, they will be the basis of the next competition).

- I'll get into how the group stages work once the draw has been made but it's not that complicated. The group stage draw will obviously be random but the 2nd round draw will not be (more on that later)

- There will not be a path to the final there will be, relatively, random draws for the knockout rounds later on.

- Mucking about with scores will be dealt with ridiculously harshly, I think we are all mature enough to report the scores correctly (I'll go on about how I want them reported once the draw has been made)

So sign up now and nominate what team you want to be, I'll keep the first post update over who's in. Only sign up when you decide what team you want to be.

Group Stages Draw

The Rules

Rule 1: Can you please arrange matches IN THE THREAD, this is so in case nobody turns up I know who has made an effort to get the match done. If you are screaming for someone in the thread you can obviously use other resources to contact them.

Rule 2: After a match is played can BOTH TEAMS PM ME the result, it'd likely get lost in the thread and it'll be an easy go to reference when I'm doing the tables etc.

Rule 3: 6 minutes each half, no extra time or penalties (yet)

Rule 4: You play each other ONCE ONLY

The Schedule:

Match 1: 30th December - 1st January
Match 2: 2nd January - 4th January
Match 3: 5th January - 7th January

Rule 5: Matches MUST be played within zones above, if neither team can make a specified date then some leniency may be given but you must get my permission BEFORE the time limit expires.

Rule 6: If everyone has finished a matchday before the time limit expires, the next matchday will begin the next day.

Rule 7: Anyone who misses one match will be given a point's deduction and the match will be forfeit, do it again you are thrown out of the competition.

Rule 8: Please get your matches done and most of all have a laugh!
