So close but so far, was a great game and to be fair the better man on the night won, congratulations Kanbei and thanks for organising this.

To be fair to him it was a great game and at 2-2 we both had chances, the winner though was an absolute peach curled beautifully out of Friedel's reach, whereas the goals before had all been due to defensive mistakes. I suppose now I have to concentrate on the League and the Rivals series that's getting set up

KANBEI 3-2 TEH BORK

What a game, a true footballing epic. I took the lead with an absolute smash from Rooney after about 10 minutes. Bork then scored twice from absolute defensive calamities from first Vidic then Neville (can't even remember who scored :lol:

) Rooney then equalised after being put through. Berbatov got the 3rd with a lovely placed shot from just outside the area. That wasn't the end of it, Bork had many chances to score but if it wasn't for van der Sar I would have lost this, one of his saves from a Carew header was simply superb. Rooney had the chance late on to finish it but Friedel blocked. In the 90th minute Bork had one last chance with a free kick out wide but it fell safely into van der Sar's arms and I am the Champion!

Just want to thank everyone for playing, it's the old cliche but this competition wouldn't have worked without everyone playing their matches and having fun. I also had fun being completely over the top

I was going to do a glitzy ceremony thing but it'd seem a bit weird congratulating myself. So I shall refrain!

I think running the Rivals alongside the season would get confusing as well.
