I didn't want to keep Elice around. So, what does it do? Does it give you a list of people to resurrect? Like fallen units? Or Marth's dad!?

I'll be playing eventually too.

You guys have played the two GBA games right?

I started playing Sacred Stones directly after finishing Radiant Dawn, but it was too much, too soon and I didn't get too far.

So all I missed was a touching reunion with Abel or Radd? Hmm...I think I'll be okay. Something about reviving fallen comrades just doesn't seem very Fire Emblem. Let the dead rest.

I wonder what Intelligent Systems are going to next? Apparently Fire Emblem 3 was a remake of the first game and a continuation of Marth's story. It would be nice to see how things progress (even if Marth wasn't the greatest protagonist of all time).

I'd love a completely new Fire Emblem, with new characters/locations etc.

That would probably be for the best. Unless they allow us to follow the continuing adventures of Ike...in handheld form.

Who did you take into the final battle, ff?

Wow, big group. I only took the characters I knew I could rely on.

Were you playing hard mode?

Which Fire Emblem game was Roy in? I thought he was gonna be in this one, sionce they were paired together in Smash Bros. Thought they were a couple o' bum boys or summat.

He was in the GBA one that wasn't released here. (Probably another one, too.)

Quick question for the people who have played the previous handheld games:

Was there more variety in mission objectives in those games?

The fact that almost every chapter in Shadow Dragon required you to 'seize' a crucial location was a bit of a disappointment considering that some of the best moments in Radiant Dawn were the siege missions where you had to desperately defend a location from wave after wave of attackers.

I have just done the first indoor mission, with all the thieves. Is it worth me leveling up a thief? Do they promote?

Enjoying it quite a lot thus far, although it is slightly annoying that you can't check out items and weapons that the enemies carry..

No. I didn't, anyway. I only used him in missions that had a lot of chests. I don't think I did any fighting with him, ever.

I think I'm having withdrawl symtoms. :( Are the Wii/GC games worth checking out? I don't know how comfortable I'd be sitting down in front of a tv playing it. It really is a handheld series, to me. I've always played it in bed.

I didn't bother developing a thief. You get quite a few keys throughout the game and it was only right at the end of the game when I had to bring along a thief after I used all the keys.

If you put the cursor on an enemy and switch to the unit status on the top screen (R button) you can see all their stats and information in the same way you can check your own units.

I think...

It's only been about a week since I finished and I'm already forgetting things.

edit: And I just wrote a long reply for Chalky about the console games but Safari crashed. I might bring myself to give it another go later.

Radiant Dawn is much better than Path of Radiance, but you really need to play through PoR in order to appreciate the strengths of RD. And some of the best parts of RD rely on your experience with the first game anyway.

I don't think playing on the TV makes that much of a difference. I spent a lot longer fiddling around with things outside of the battles, but the games all play pretty much the same anyway. It's just that there's more to juggle in RD.
