Being the manager of England must be such a hateful job these days. Can't remember any happy endings for the managers over the last decade. It'll be interesting to see who the FA (other than Harry) interview for the job.

Are the papers really already digging up dirt on Stuart Pearce? :fp:

It is kinda funny that they removed John Terry as England captain because of racism allegations and have now replaced Capello with someone who racistly abused Paul Ince... :shifty:

I'd imagine you'd struggle to find a professional player from the 90's who didn't abuse Ince at one point or other (whether racially or not).

The swerve begins.

EDIT - I'd love to find some quotes of when he has followed this exact same pattern before. Hes done it so many times. Feigns disinterest - then pledges allegiance, then feels 'flattered' - then signs!

Wasn't it inter Milan in general ? In reality adriano at that time was that good. Fast, strong, and a deadly left foot .

What a crock of gooseberry fool. Granted, Capello's England were poor in the 2010 World Cup. But Sven?

2002 we reach the quarter finals, only losing to winners Brazil by a flukey goal.

2004 Euro Championships - we reach the quarter finals again. Campbell has a goal disallowed. We lose to finalists Portugal.

200 World Cup - Quarter finals again. Lost to Portugal on penalties with Rooney the dickhead getting sent off. That's TOP 8 in three consecutive finals, which is about right for our position in World football. Let's face it, most of us could name 7 countries who are better or on a par with England.

Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Holland, France, Portugal...

He was never the worlds best player though. In Pro Evo you could literally give him the ball and it was like a knife through butter, he was so hard to get the ball off. Inter Milan in that Pro Evo are the only team me and my mates have had to ban! Adriano once came to Pompey in a pre season friendly and that particular day he was absolute baloney! One shot he skied so high it made Benjani feel world class.

Yup. He made some odd decisions at times, but on the whole, Sven was a great manager for us.

Another vote of support for Sven here.

I admit this seems to look bad on the surface, but this is by no means a forgone conclusion, despite what the media would have you believe. Of course he would consider such an offer, it's a big job. But I'll be holding my placard of support up on Saturday and hopefully the adoring crowd will have an affect on his way of thinking. He's building something special at the Lane. He'll make the right decision despite the ridiculous pressure from the press and Rooney, Shearer and co.

Its got nothing to do with the media, just purely the fact that theres not a manager in the land more likely to take the job if offered then Harry. Whatever he builds at Tottenham is never going to be a bigger job then England. And before we go on about adulation, the loudest fans in the country giving him the key to the city didn't stop him moving, so don't think for a second he won't move now!

Maybe money wise, but he stands to gain a lot more success at Spurs in my eyes than England. Where would he go from England. Can't even imagine old Harry running Chelsea/Arsenal/United :shifty:
