Still think Townsend is worse. Lawro might be miserable and sound like he doesn't want to be there, but at least he shuts up for large spells, whereas Townsend feels the need to describe what you've just seen in the most banal way possible.

From afar it appears like the Spanish players are wearing medals.

Tough times for Uruguay.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

DML would be proud of these kinds of bold predictions.

Superb from Fabregas. Not a bad finish either.

I hope there's a free kick scored in every game if they're as good as these two have been.

So nearly put money on Suarez as next goalscorer when Spain went 2-0 up :fp: :fp: Had a feeling :fp:

And just seen Spain have Tahiti in their group. :dread: :dread:

Decent matches last night, first ones I've seen on my new TV. Looked damn good in HD (didn't realise the BBC 3 game would be in HD too - nice).

Good to see Mark Chapman and Pat Nevin on the BBC coverage too. I like Lineker, but everyone else (Hansen, Shearer, Lawrenson, whoever else they get in) is generally poor.

BBC 3 itself wasn't, but you could switch to 303 I think it was and watch it in HD there.

 With the medal being their shirt number. The idea is a bit cheesy but if any team deserves to have a such a shirt it's that lot.
