Defence can make a difference on some of these saves though (he's made 36 in total in PL this season), as good defensive positioning can lead to poor attempts on goal which equal an easy save...
If the keeper hasn't got saves to make or has easier shots to save because of being behind a good defence then of course he'll have a higher save percentage... Or when strikers clean through on goal decide to shoot straight at him like that Napoli bloke did last night
If he had the likes of the Liverpool defence from a few years ago in front of him I doubt the percentage would be as good... Can see this in De Gea's drop of form this year and Courtois over in Madrid... Both great keepers but both struggling because of poor defending in front of them...
