So to be 100% clear, it was a joke because Photek CLEARLY was not saying manu in a way that was derogatory towards the Munich disaster. People are trying too hard to find things to be offended by.

On Stan Collymore, I realise he has mental health issues, but here’s a man now so toxic and bitter even TalkSport don’t want him.

To be a black pundit you either need to be a comedian like Chris Kamara or Ian Wright, guys who have big pearly-white smiles and everyone loves laughing at, or Jermaine Jenas and Alex Scott, who are completely inoffensive,

Shock horror, broadcasters don’t want to intentionally offend. And last time I checked, one of (if not the most) highly paid pundits on TV is Thierry Henry. Basically Collymore has found himself in a position where he needs to run everyone else down because what it boils down to is nobody in the UK wants to hire him. Because he’s a cancerous prick.

And clearly Alex Scott is going places, unlike him.

Nah, they just both played together at Arsenal in the late 90's.

United also had a player called Manucho for a while, but he was rubbish obviously.

I've seen some debate on whether it is or isn't made up over the years, certainly I sit at Old Trafford with a few older blokes who've been following United over the years and they've told me previously they don't like the term, whether that's due to Munich associations or just the association with 'day-trippers' I couldn't say.

Even if it wasn't originally used negatively there are fans that do now take it being used as an insult to be gospel and opposition fans who do use it as a derogatory term. Whether Photek intended that or not I'm not sure but his other posts don't really paint him in a good light. If a rival fan had the audacity to use a term for Liverpool with even the most tenuous link to Hillsborough then I have no doubts that every Liverpool fan on here would be calling for their head.

Ultimately it's something that's pretty avoidable by simply adding a couple of letters.

Yeah I noticed that he didn't mention Thierry Henry, or Rio Ferdinand for that matter, presumably because neither fell into the comedian/inoffensive bracket.

The reason that Collymore can't find work is because he spouts a lot of hate and is generally quite aggressive and confrontational.

It's a little bit like when Paul Ince suggested that he wasn't getting top managerial jobs because he was black when actually it had a lot more to do with him being a gooseberry fool manager.

That's not to deny that there may be racism within these organisations, certainly I thought Collymore made quite a good point when he said about Sol Campbell not being able to get a job whilst Gerrard/Lampard have quickly walked into big jobs, but it's important to differentiate between when it is actually racism and when it is actually due to unsuitability. By claiming racism in this case I would imagine Collymore will do more harm than good to equal opportunities for black pundits.

I think Stan Collymore, Yaya Toure and Sol Campbell would really bond well together over a pint, discussing how the world is out to get them.

Just use Utd, short for United. It's shorter than Manu and no other teams use it so you can't be mistaken

Collymore blocked me after I seen him on BBC talking about domestic abuse and bullying while not acknowledging the fact he hit Ulrika. I pointed this out to him on twitter.

Stan should stop thinking it's racism that has stifled his career, he's a massive prick which is the Issue.

Collymore has a lot of good stuff to say that all the other jobs-for-the-boys pundits won't touch but he definitely talks a load of gooseberry fool as well and seems to spend half his time deliberately trying to wind people up on Twitter then moaning the ever he gets a ton of abuse. I did love when he was reporting all the racist fannies to the police though and they thought he was only joking.

When it comes to presenters, pundits and analysis the NFL Show on the BBC is way out in front of everybody else. Even if you don't give a gooseberry fool about NFL, Mark Chapman, Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell are just so great together. It's laid back, it's still a bit blokey, it's brilliant.

So has nobody else mentioned what's going on at sporting yet?

The fans attacked the players at the training ground after they missed the CL and now most of the first team is going to get released because of unsafe work environment (or somesuch) laws.
