Scotland just had a man sent off for strawberry float all, before being denied what looked like a pretty good penalty shout. Then an Israeli fellow smashed the ball off the bar from about three yards out - genuinely the worst miss I've seen since Chris Iwelumo

So is everyone looking forward to watching Croatia and England play in an empty stadium? They're going to have to play a vuvuzela track or something to drown out the mix of player's shouting/swearing and the "doof" sound of the ball getting passed around.

Can't wait :)

Quite an unusual spectacle so might be vaguely interesting as a novelty for a short time.

It's a bit unfair that English fans can't go in my opinion. I guess there could be logistical issues involved but it feels like both sides are being punished.

Southgate’s happy for the players to swear so the microphones might pick up some hilarity.

highlight of the entire game was the commentary trying to pretend sancho crossing straight to a croatian player was good actually
the need to overhype youth from the english press is so strawberry floating bizarre

The discussion afterwards was ridiculous, all focused on Sancho getting ten minutes despite only performing the cross you describe whilst Ben chilwell was waiting to discuss his own debut (where he started the game). And the first question they asked him was abo Sancho

I'm trying to do stoptober and I thought the Int break would make it easier as no Weekday evening football (that's worth watching). But God its boring and I may just drink for something to do.
