I would trade losses against Napoli int he champions league and Wolves in the FA cup for wins against man utd, city and arsenal over this Christmas period.

Disgusting.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I did say maybe the media will praise liverpool for one night, not in general but yeah, listening to Football daily this morning pundit dudes both saying even if Liverpool went 10pts clear they wouldn't consider them title contenders. It's a bit puzzling. Then you have 606, Robbie Savage saying give City the title, and sticking by it after City lost, then the host on 606 on Sundays saying the same, only Ian Wright and Chris Sutton think Liverpool are genuine title contenders.

Maybe everyone is right and we will fall off but going top and being written off by so many seems odd. Of course Sky sports has 3 or more ex Liverpool players so it's skewed there but Mourinho prob still has a job cos of Gary Neville, it's just how things are.

Firstly - it's hard to take you seriously with that last point but if you're going to worry about what Robbie savage says then you'll never be happy.
City are favourites - rightly so. It's not criticism of Liverpool to say that.
I also think that your air of superiority with regards to city is because you beat them last season in the league and champions League. However they still won the league and were streets ahead of everyone else. You didn't win anything.

A lot of the plaudits for Liverpool come with the caveat that they are still needing to make that breakthrough. This season they have looked very good but big tests await.
If they come through those then i think people will start to take Liverpool more seriously as contenders.
We've not reached the halfway stage of the season yet.

Liverpool have received plenty of acclaim. Rightly so.
They'll have to earn more though.

I have no 'air of superiority' over City, none at all, they're the champions and won it with a record number of points, I didn't realise I have to constantly refer to City's stature to make a point. You constantly have this weird distorted opinion on how I view things by inferring on what I leave out of posts rather than what I actually write, it's remarkable.

City did look ordinary in the second half did they not?

To be clear again, Liverpool haven't won the League in what is it? 28 years?? I have no air of superiority over the current champions, I do over Manu, cos they're god awful this season.

Criticizing a team or remarking on how the media talk about them does not equate to thinking the team you support is better. That's quite an infantile way of looking at things tbh.

If you don't have that air of superiority then fine - but you do want equal footing at least and you haven't earned that yet. City have.
That's why so many pundits are still tipping them.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that this current era of Liverpool has seen them become the best team to not win anything. They play great football, have some awesome players and a memorable (if a bit silly, IMO) manager, but they just haven't had that slice of luck or strong enough shoulder sockets/lack of concussion that teams need to win a trophy. It's only a matter of time though, they're bound to win something big very soon, far sooner than United will at any rate :dread:

I still expect a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Sunday, Manu are Liverpool's bogey team in getting 0-0 results.

I'd take that right now.

I think if you score the first goal you'll win 2 or 3-1.
