I don’t ever bet against United but in a game like this - it’s unthinkable for me.

Is it just me?

I think it’s pretty shitty.
That's not just you, I would never bet against my own team.

I never actually bet on my own team either, I always leave them out of my bets.

True. Herrera had a stinker.

Also three defensive DM mids is no good when you’re chasing the game after ten minutes. In each half.

A massive gulf in class when you compare the two starting eleven's. It shouldn't be the case but how many of our lads that started today would you pick over City's starting eleven? We look very disjointed moving the ball from the back to middle and middle to front. We haven't got a centre back who can play with the ball at his feet, Fred has been mostly poor since he signed, Pogba's performances are as varied as his hair colour and Lukaku, Sanchez and Rashford just haven't turned up this season.

Didn't watch it because the entire football world stopped for El Mancico - had a mixture of Arseblog and Arsenal.com's state TV commentary (BBC London weren't even commentating on it, can only assume no rights).

We sounded flat and out of ideas. Xhaka was gooseberry fool old Xhaka and not kind of okay new Zhaka. Kolasinac was a crime against defending and football in general. Auba missed a sitter which he does a lot in fairness. Leno was our best player. Mkhitaryan scored but I still don't think he's any good personally.

Still don’t see the point of Rashford or Lingard. We were never going to score or look threatening when Jose starts those two.

Lingard wouldn’t get in most premier league teams, but he looks busy and runs around a lot plus is a local lad so should be a starter. When it comes to ability he has to be as bad as Bebe. But at least Bebe could run past people before crossing it into row z.

Rashford is another Welbeck who had a good start to his career. But ever since then all he does is hog onto the ball and run into blind alleys thinking he’s made it and is a big time player. Can’t believe people were comparing him to Mbappe.

Fred’s barely been given a chance. He has had good games too as well as poor games. But you need to let players settle.

If Jose was Spurs manager that debutant defender who conceded two penalties last week would never have been seen again. Yet Potch sticks faith in him and he scores the winning goal too this week. Klopp did the same with Lovren last season.

This season is a write off regardless. There’s no way we are getting 4th. Thank strawberry float Woodward didn’t let Mourinho sign Willian for some stupid fee as Matic looks on his last legs. But funny enough there’s some players despite having been playing the whole season terrible still get picked like Matic. Whilst others chop and change constantly.

It was really apparent yesterday watching the game just how well coached City are compared to United. You can really see Guardiola's vision taking form on the pitch, every player knows what they're doing (and just as importantly, what their team mates are doing), it all flows so well and looks so natural for them. For Aguero's goal, the one-touch football was sublime and I just can't ever imagine United managing to string together enough passes like City did for their 3rd goal.

Compare that to the stodgy anti-football that we've sadly become hostage to at United (complete with the "back the manager at all costs" Stockholm syndrome) and it makes you wonder what they do all week in training. Sad times :(

While you're correct about how City play, allowing them the space and time to do it was bizarre.

I was completely unaware of this until right now. Argh. :fp:

True. Not going at them after we were gifted a goal is the most unforgivable thing.

City have shown a weakness for that.
Liverpool exposed it and we did for one half last season.

If you allow them time and Space they’ll punish you.

We did that too much but we also didn’t utilise our own time with the ball well enough.

I’m not getting into the Rashford and Lingard debate again which crops up every time we lose.
