PES I have no idea when he was made captain has anything to do with anything but you either believe they want him or not.

Personally I think he’s leaving, can’t keep player against his wishes. Not sure liverpool will go back for him tho. I mean...why would we? We could agree a fee again and they could say no at last minute.

Some say that his medical resulted in Liverpool wanting a reduced fee (which does make some sense, though would you trust the Liverpool medical staff right now given they didn't check on a potential concussion mid match?).

Lyon told Liverpool to do one when it was Liverpool that tried to LOWER THE PRE-EXISTING fee. You seem to keep missing that bit.

Yeah, isn't it all just Liverpool found something they didn't like in the medical so weren't convinced of the risk at the price. Seems relatively simple and no big scandal

Out of 3 of them, I still think Keita will have biggest impact.

It’s alright.

The only two clubs who were really after him were Bayern or Chelsea. I don’t think he’d want to go to Chelsea with the uncertainty plus no champions league football which he gets at Lyon.

Bayern won’t offer the money Lyon want. He did have a serious knee injury a few years ago, so maybe that issue came up again. I’d be surprised if Bayern go for him if there are issues with his knees.

If he does have a good World Cup, I can see Liverpool just giving in and it probably be a higher fee than originally agreed to make Lyon happy. But at the end of the day as long as you get the player that’s all that matters.

I think Liverpool will win the League next year......
