Looking at the forums, the Ladies team are completely separate (volunteers) from club as well, just using the name (again, seems quite commonplace for a lot of the smaller ladies teams)...

Can't possibly be a deliberate news story from an insider at a time where the fans are distracted by the issue regarding the Fanatics though

Teams shouldn't be allowed to not exist under the same umbrella. This Palace thing quite rightly makes you look super bad.

Yeah I agree. If they have the same name as the mens team, then they should be part of the same company. If they are not part of the same company, then they should have their own unique name.

Clearly struggling to find a suitable crisis this season at the moment are Palace.

Currently watching Germany vs France on Sky Sports Mix.

Sky have got the England game on Saturday against Spain. ITV highlights from 11:05pm, irritatingly.

“I’m a jigsaw puzzle,” Santi Cazorla says. There is a bit of his left forearm on his right ankle, a piece of thigh in its place and the back of a leg in one heel. There is also a grin on his face, somehow. There is a metal plate in a foot and a new achilles, made from rolled-up hamstring, occupying the space where the rot set in. He points to the body parts that are where they are not supposed to be, a player for whom “patched up” applies literally, a tale told by tattoo: it says “I, n, d …” on an arm and “… i, a” on an ankle, his daughter’s name cut in half and grafted on, artery and all, where there was once a hole – a window into the horror below.

Aren't England home games supposed to be televised on terrestrial?

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

It's a new tournament so not covered by any existing rules.

Utterly sick of this Southgate chant. Credit to the England fans for keeping up throughout the second half, but it is just brutal on the ears after the 100th time.

Joke or a decision by the ref to rule out Welbecks goal then. A good example for when teams should be able to call for a var review.

I don’t think VAR would change that decision.

Rightly or wrongly, keepers get protected when they go up in the air and you can’t touch them. DDG catches the ball and collides with Welbeck on his way down. Welbeck doesn’t really do anything wrong but that’s a decision that in football, the benefit is given to the keeper every time.

There shouldn't be a benefit to give the to the keeper though as there was no foul. De gea chose to jump for the ball, collided with wellbeck in doing so and dropped the ball. If wellbeck had gone for the ball then I could understand the ref giving the keeper the benefit to protect the keeper. The ref gave a foul but there was no foul.

Defoe and Ox are so annoying in the studio, swinging their chairs left and right like children. Obviously a sign of nerves.

Having watched it again, I disagree. Welbeck moves into the only place DDG can land and I think Welbeck not challenging for the ball actually makes it worse-DDG has made a successful attempt for the ball and Welbeck gets in his way while he’s landing. It’s kind of like a defender jumping to head the ball and being impeded by an attacker who moves into a position to disrupt the jump but doesn’t actually make a genuine attempt for the ball.

Yeah I've watched it again and see what you are saying. Wellbeck moves into the space where de gea will land.

Crazy to think what a wee niggling injury could develop into.

Didn't even realise England were playing last night, so much for me being a born-again fan after the World Cup :slol:
