Ban request for not posting a picture of the great Steve Kean :capnscotty:

I had Steve Kean ready to go, but decided at the last minute to be less obvious.

Shearer is furious that they let a World class manager leaving for free. :slol:

Im sure that Rafa want more control but Ashley isn't having it so he decides enough is enough.

They're still under a transfer embargo so he's going to have to work with what he's got, plus the 456 players currently out on loan

Well they are, most Geordie fans are very angry about letting Rafa go.

Was gonna say, Newcastle have had a complete shocker there.

There was a rumour flying about last month that Rafa had scouted out the local area here and was ready to come to Glasgow for his next job, but then all the stuff about the Boy's Club came out and he - completely understandably - backed the strawberry float away from the role. Hence Neil Lennon.

All hearsay, of course.

Paedophiles mate. Everywhere. :dread:

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/celtic-boys-club-pressure-mounts-for-inquiry-into-links-with-celtic-fc-wq33qmppm

Flippancy aside, it's been a pretty shameful scandal and while the boys club appears to have been largely separate from Celtic FC itself, the complete stonewalling of the situation from the club doesn't sit well with me at all. I could absolutely see why Benitez could've taken one look at the situation and ran a mile, if there's any truth at all to that rumour.

That Netherlands Japan game was one of the best games of the tournament so far, really couldn’t tell which way it was going to go. Japan were unlucky not to score when they were on top in the second half and were made to pay. Not sure if that’s a harsh handball decision, although that probably says more about the way the law is currently being interpreted.

Agree with the other comments about the Netherlands vs Japan game. Admittedly I've not seen a huge amount of womens football but this was by some margin the best game I've seen with both teams clearly very talented. Really felt for Japan as they dominated the 2nd half. Some of their passing and movement was amazing and I loved their insistence on playing out from the back, which they frequently did to great effect. The penalty was a bit harsh but from what I've seen of the tournament wasn't unexpected. Hopefully moving into the quarters there will be more games of this level with teams being more evenly matched.

Not sure what Iranian law is like but I guess it'll to be do with informed consent but it's pretty incredible. Just had a look at his Instagram page: "The Iranian Messi".

He might be able to sleep with 23 women on a sunny Saturday in Tehran, but could he pull on a wet Tuesday night in Wigan?
