I'm expecting a domestic trebble at least this year.

Pre-season friendly trophies count don't they :shifty: .

Just have 3 mini tournaments against sunday league teams and boom, domestic domination.

Seriously though, avoiding relegation is going to be a super tough ask and I'll be happy with 17th on goal difference.

Former Scotland, Manchester United and Leeds United defender Gordon McQueen has died at the age of 70.

Honestly quite happy with our first match back in the premiership being against Palace, reckon they’ll still beat us but hopefully we won’t have a massive GD after our first game

I am not expecting much, if anything from us this season.

Memories of a few seasons ago means probably a home win.

Might pop down to it.

I would like some announcement or concrete rumours on the manager situation. Zaha is probably gone so that's one thing but feel there's more internal arguments among the owners on the managerial side again.

https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/manchester-united-negotiating-exclusivity-with-qatars-sheikh-jassim-6-bln-plus-2023-06-15/
June 15 (Reuters) - English football club Manchester United (MANU.N) is negotiating granting exclusivity to the consortium led by Qatar's Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani in the talks to sell itself for more than $6 billion, people familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

Members of the Glazer family, which own minority stakes in Manchester United and control it thanks to a dual-class share structure, would be cashing out as part of the proposed deal, one of the sources said.

Seems that the rumours that the Glazers were using Ratcliffe as a stalking horse for Sheikh Jassim might have been true...

West Ham rejected our bid of £80m plus add on’s for Rice, I don’t think he’s worth £120m but they’ll hold out for that as they know a couple of clubs will pay it :dread:

I also see Arsenal being linked with Havertz, don’t think he is the type of player we need though.

Wouldn’t be against Roy starting the season off at least? Or reckon they’ll have someone in come July?

As good a job Roy did this season he's not the future. Giving him say another year contract to me would mean we're likely to end up in a similar situation next year.

Conflicted, as not really sure on the potential available candidates out there.

Putting myself at risk of being banned from the thread here, but is it time to just have one thread for all football talk, regardless of which league? It doesn't feel like we have enough traffic in either thread to warrant them being separate anymore. The Football Thread last season was pretty dead compared to previous years.
