playing platinum for the first time and im really disappointed by the pokemon distribution

im not far off the eighth badge and it seems like most of what you see is gen 1 stuff, and before the first couple of gyms its all gen 1 trade evo's, really difficult to prioritise the newer ones as you barely see any - dont have anything that can use fly as there seems a black hole on the flying type for wild encounters, so im just walking everywhere

and the story seems very scattered about and barely integrated into the world

and i hate the marshes and deep snow

Alpha Sapphire and the Delta episode complete.

Now to go around mopping up the leftover pokemon and start going through my Omega Ruby cart so I can end up getting Groudon to finish the dex (and the other exclusives)

With 8:46 on the clock I caught Groudon and I think the only other exclusive Pokemon I need is Zangoose and to get a leaf stone - then I need to copy my save to my other 3DS and work on the trade evolutions and a few others like milotic then that should be my dex complete (I also need to go get a ditto to finish it so I'm waiting for the right mirage thing to appear to get one) for ORAS (not the national dex though).

Beat the Elite 4, caught Reshiram and beat Team Plasma in Black - haven't played Black/White since it released which I found out just now was like 14 years ago. I first played it just after I started learning Japanese so I didn't understand quite a bit/had to look quite a bit up so it was nice to be able to play and understand it better now.

I pretty much forgot everything about the game and I can see why it's so revered. Not bothering getting the full dex in this because getting most of them is going to be super difficult, so I'll transfer what I've already used to bank (after I beat the post game) then use Black 2 to finish off the Unova dex part of my Living Dex in home!

I've been working my way through Journeys: The Series, and I was already in love. But having an Eevee playing a major role in the series has made me love it more. Really wanting to see how that part of the story concludes. Finished yesterday on the episode where Gary makes his return, and it felt so awkward. His voice sounded almost the same as Professor Oak! The cockiness was trying to come out, but just couldn't distinguish itself from his grandad.

i dunno sandy seemed to get plenty of attention

Before capture, sure. I loved those Where Are You Going, Eevee? shorts. But after that capture, I only remember a few times Sun and Moon: The Series put the focus mainly on it. From what I'm seeing in Journeys, Chloe's Eevee is going to have a lot more focus. They both have loveable personalities that shine whenever on screen, though.

Journeys is a great series for the most part, it has its share of 'meh' episodes, but the masters tournament is utterly brilliant towards the end, the final battle is one of the best moments I've seen in the anime full stop.

I've watched the first 16 episodes of Horizons on iPlayer and it's really good to be fair, wasn't sure how it'd be post Ash, but it has impressed me so far.

I think that was a major criticism at the time, coz I'm pretty sure that Black and White had nothing but new 'mon in the main game and didn't have any from past gens until the post-game.

I just finished playing through black and getting all the Unova pokemon for my living dex - I've gone back to finish off Crystal.

I really enjoyed Black/White - way more this time than I did initially. The music especially is superb.
