The Archbishop of Canterbury is being fairly reasonable here.

See Dawkins should be arguing with more people like the Archbishop instead of creationists.

You could see Dawkins boiling with rage when the Arch Bishop was describing the miraculous conception

Unfortunately, given how the creationist movement is gathering strength and increasing in size, confrontations with 'them' are always going to happen. Indeed, they need to happen or those movements will never be stopped.

I want a Dawkins versus the pope battle in the next series.

You are weak.

Dawkins' explanation of what Darwinism is was awesome.

Dawkins is only a prick about it because being a huge prick is the only way you can demonstrate a point to some of these nutjobs.

Personally I want Dawkins vs Scientology.

The problem is scientologists refuse to admit that they really believe in the alien stuff.

Even this set of teachers.

Is it me or is the guy just a massive dick.

I used to think Dawkins was a dick but the more documentaries I've seen by him the more I like him. I don't see, and never really have seen, how people can still genuinely believe that everything sprung up on the Earth within a short period, each with a specific purpose but I always though Dawkins was just anti-God for the sake of being argumentative. If Dawkins was to ever tell me that God did not exist then I'm sure he could no more back it up than I could produce evidence that he/she/it did exist, but anyone who isn't willing to believe the evidence against evolution and its consequence in favour of some divine creation needs a kick in the face. It's quite sad, and worrying, that teachers and school are too afraid to teach this and even force it on children who are pushed by their own ignorance and will eventually pass this ignorance on to their children.

Haha, I guess.

Also, I'd like everyone to note on how Dawkins treated the woman with HIV in the first episode:

"I guess God has just been nice to me. I'm a lucky one."
"Yes, I suppose."

He does know how to not be an asshole to people with religious beliefs, he wasn't a total c-unit to the kids, either. It's the nutjobs and the big figures who he goes all-out on, and good luck to him. Attacking these people may make them eventually realise how retarded they're being.

Yes. Like he says: 'Evolution isn't a choice - it's a fact'. I don't think I'd have been half as f*ckin' tactful as he was with these Care In The Community types...

If I had a child who was at a school where they taught creationism in anything except R.E. I would pull them out faster than a man whose condom bursts.
