The catch? I’m not in USA, but rather watching at my local cinema as part of the worldwide stream/playback experience. The sound faded in and out a little but worse was the constant Tv menu and info bar appearing and disappearing all along the left, bottom and part of middle of the screen as soon as Creeping Death started (the opening song) and continued through Harvester of Sorrow. Several of us had to get up and complain to staff to get the menu etc sorted. Ruined the experience somewhat.

As for the gig, it was not their best I thought. James’ voice failed to hit the right notes a few times unfortunately although musically they were all on point.

Hopefully the technical issues won’t be there tomorrow

Night 2 was tremendous. No sound issues. No technical issues. Good selection of songs with Ride The Lightning being the featured album with 4 songs played off it (Bell Tolls, Lightning, Fade, Ktulu). They completely strawberry floated up You Must Burn by missing a bit in the middle when Robert tried 3 times to start singing but stopped within a second each time. James admitted the mistake and they played the missing 20-30 secs after the song had finished. Good to see they laughed about it all.

One thing re US gig goers - there were a few under 10's right up stage front and last night a man held up what looked like a 9 month old (wearing ear defenders) above his head and he was also on the floor. Does the US not prevent U14's from standing at gigs like we do? Also, that poor baby! Hope his/her hearing is OK

Went to Connect Festival in Edinburgh yesterday. Highlights were two of my favourite acts, boygenius and Christian Lee Hutson. Public Service Broadcasting were brilliant too. Also caught Former Champ, Billie Marten, Katie Gregson-MacLeod and Raye. I managed to take some nice photos. You can see more here.

He does look like Chris Martin. I assume the rest of them also look like their real life counterparts, but who the strawberry float knows what anybody else in Coldplay looks like.

What happens with tribute band singers if they really look like a famous rock star, but sound just like another one?

Imagine somebody sounds just like Freddie Mercury, but looks just like Barry White. Do they pretend Mercury was a fat black man, or that White could really hit those high notes?

Lovejoy last night at Cardiff Uni SU.
Like an oven but a good gig. Won two tickets on Sky to see Dexys Midnight runners (Now going as Dexys) at the Civic in Wolves. I haven't been since it was done up so might pop along.
5 seconds of summer in 2 weeks then 3 fallout boy gigs.
Busy.

Just need to set up an Instagram as a teenage girl who's a fan and you can probably get free tickets.

MADONNA The Celebration Tour yesterday at the O2. Was fantastic with great vocals! She was brilliant.

I wouldn't say I am a fan but everyone likes some of her music. I just wanted to see her in concert because she puts on a great show and is so famous.

Oh god, office chair racing. Taking a spontaneous bit of office daftness and making a wacky event out of it. You can easily imagine the kind of people who would be there.

The Berlin prosecution dropped that investigation due a lack of evidence and the fact that no charges were brought to the police, so it's okay to enjoy their music again.

She didn't have time to sing this on Sunday when I went. So gutted. But going to book again for her December show now.

Totally worth the £200+ ticket price absolutely

Respect to Madonna for paying tribute to MJ.
