Is that Cancer Bats one just before Reading? I wanted to go to that but funds were too tight. :(

You at Reading, Danzig?

Cancer Bats is on one of their day-offs from supporting FFAF in October, not sure of the date.

And I'm at Leeds instead of Reading because most of my Uni friends are dirty northerners.

Just looked at the dates on their site. All the London dates are with FFAF, who I don't want to see again!

I saw they're playing tonight too at the ULU where I was last night. Wish i'd have knew. :(

Apparently they're not playing at ULU tonight now because they missed their flight. Alexisonfire are replacing them.

Ah, well I feel a little better then. Although i'd like to see Alexis at a small venue like that...

I'm still amazed Meshuggah are playing at the Astoria 2 though, that place is tiny!

If there any plan for a Reading meet? I'd be up for it if others are but we'd probably need mobile numbers as I know I won't be sober enough to turn up for a pre-arrange meeting at a place I almost certainly won't be able to find.

I've made a basic start to the front page now, i'll add what gigs people are attending if they post the date/artist and venue.

It's trademarked and everything. "My condolences" after someone says something akin to what the dude who bought the KoL tickets said. I've been doing it for months. :x

Has anyone received their Early Bird passes for Leeds or Reading? I haven't and Im starting to panic! If they don't arrive tomorrow morning then I'm royally strawberry floated as Im leaving for Leeds tomorrow night (with presumably non-refundable train tickets)

If they don't arrive in time (pessimistic mode) does anyone have any suggestions for a backup plan? i.e Where to stay the night in Leeds or near the site?

Yeah I have, they only got sent on Friday though.

As long as you have your weekend ticket though I wouldn't worry, getting my early pass ticket for T in the Park was a shambles, but after contacting them I just arranged to pick it up at the box office. I'd assume you'd be able do the same.

Did you get them from seetickets?

I'm gonna be cheeky right now, and post 2 things to do with Myth of Unity here (as I know there's a few on here who like us). The first is that we've nabbed 10 minutes of our Glastonbury footage (unfortunately, the sound is taken from the on-stage cameras, so it's not amazing, but you get the general jist of it!) and slapped it on YouTube at this address if anyone's interested in looking -

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=V68fNvQRqaQ

Also, we've entered both Last Band Standing and Orange Unsigned Act this year, and was wondering if anyone fancied voting for us. The link to LBS is -

http://www.lastbandstanding.co.uk/band.asp?band=280

Voting is already open, and you can vote once a day.

The Orange Unsigned Act one is found here -

http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/acts/myth-of-unity

Voting opens on 1st of September. If you'd like to see another forumite make it onto TV, votes would be appreciated!

Cheers!

Unfortunately I got it on ebay. Hopefully the guy received them today and posted them with recorded delivery. I didn't think the early passes sold out so quickly, but when I was looking around in early July I couldn't find them anywhere. So because all friends had early entry tickets sorted (one guy bought a few to share which I wasn't aware of ...) desperation led me to the tout's.

If it doesnt come tomorrow Ill contact the guy to see if he can phone up the box office and sort something out.

I think I've shot myself in the foot by using ebay

Yeah using ebay wasn't the best of ideas, you could probably get them on the door regardless though.

I went to Reading last year at 2am on the Thursday morning without a Weds ticket and got in fine even though my weekend ticket said I couldn't have access to the campsite until 8am Thursday morning.

Going to see Metallica on Wednesday night, in Marlay Park in Dublin. Should be good.

I don't have anything else lined up at all though, apart from TNA... but thats for another thread.

Turns out the ebay chap still hasn't got them. They were despatched to him on Friday through Seetickets apparently. He said he was sorry for the letdown, and is willing to give a refund. So if he can't organize a box office pickup I've told him Ill take the refund.

On a positive note It turns out my friends brothers friend can't make it down on the Wednesday anymore, so I might be able to nab his ticket.

On a more pessimistic note: What are the chances of early bird passes kicking round at the entrance at about 5pm on Wednesday going from past years?

Got all my Leeds gooseberry fool ready now (except for the stupid amount of alcohol). Sorted out who I'm seeing and when so I'm not wasting time when I'm there, the less time taken away from drinking and dancing the better. Anyone other Leeds goers feel free to give me a holla and we'll meet up for a few drinks.

Friday

Metallica (21:00 - 23:00) (it's Metallica)
Tenacious D (19:30 - 20:30) (I can't justify this, RUBBISH)
Slipknot (18:10 - 19:00) (people = gooseberry fool)
Feeder (16:55 - 17:45) (RUBBISH but I'm too lazy to walk anywhere else)
Avenged Sevenfold (15:50 - 16:35) (I liked Waking The Fallen when I was 14)
Black Tide (15:00 - 15:30) (not really a fan but in all the press photos the vocalist wears a Bad Brains t-shirt)
In Case Of Fire (14:15 - 14:45) (better than anything on the other stages at the time)
Alexisonfire (12:55 - 13:35) ('nuff said, I'll be the one at the front screaming along to every word)

Saturday

Rage Against The Machine (21:30 - 23:00) ('nuff said)
Anti-Flag (19:45 - 20:30) (the set's picked by the fans so I'm hoping they'll be a few oldies, will catch the end of QotSA)
Goldfinger (18:40 - 19:25) (not a huge fan but I imagine the crowd will be good for them)
Tiger Army (17:40 - 18:20) (love them, caught them at a one-off in London earlier in the year and were ace)
Biffy Clyro (16:30 - 17:15) (hopefully they'll play some pre-Puzzle material)
H20 (15:45 - 16:25) (legends)
Frank Turner (15:00 - 15:30) (legend)
The Briggs (14:15 - 14:45) (always on the Mike Davies show, like what I've heard of them)
Taking Back Sunday (13:30 - 14:10) (strawberry float the haters, THE band of my youth)
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly (12:45 - 13:15) (purely because I can't be bothered to go to another stage)
Anti-Flag (12:00 - 12:30) (strawberry float the haters, I love them)

Sunday

Gallows (22:00 - 23:00) (the first time I saw them they were playing to about 50 people, will be bizarre)
Alkaline Trio (20:45 - 21:35) (had to sell my ticket to seem them at the Koko, hopefully this will make up for it)
Thrice (19:40 - 20:25) (I'm a Thrice fanboy, will be sexual)
Flogging Molly (18:35 - 19:20) (amazingly I've never seen them live before, will be mega-fun)
MXPX (17:30 - 18:15) (standard pop-punk but my friends love them, fun when I;ve seen them before)
Cancer Bats (16:30 - 17:10) (its Cancer Bats, 'nuff said)
The King Blues (15:30 - 16:10) (album is full of summer tunes, should be fun)
strawberry floated Up (14:30 - 15:10) (will be off the hook, Hidden World is awesome and they were ace on the Gallows tour)
The Gaslight Anthem (13:35 - 14:15) (band of the festival, will be intense)
Kids In Glass Houses (12:45 - 13:15) (rubbish but no one else who I really want to see at the time)
The Blackout (12:00-12:30) (clichéd nonsense but mega-fun all the same)
