Going to see Interpol in February. Glad they added a Scotland gig in the end. Not been to the Barrowlands yet so hoping it's a decent venue.

Saw Babymetal in Brixton Saturday, was ridiculous (not helped by the Academy's queue system mind) in the fab way... It was also really fun, with minimal faff (one of my biggest bugbears at any gig is a band that does a song, then minutes of chatter) and generally just entertaining... The random backstory videos they've created are amazingly tacky too...

The response they got to announcing a new album/tour next year means we could see them growing even more than they have done since they first hit the UK...

Saw Volbeat last night at the Manchester Academy supported by Hatebreed.

Volbeat were immense. Really on form and had the crowd going all night.

Brilliant moment when the lead singer crowd surfed from stage to half way into the crowd to give a 10yr old boy a free t shirt and then crowd surfed all the way back.

His music's awful but he has reasonable banter.

First Download announcement was shite.

That's amazing

I like some of his music, but he's really not suited to arenas.

I'm sure his record label do not agree with you on that.

Muse are headlining Download next year.

Kinda hoping this is an indication that their next album will be quite heavy/guitar focused. :shifty: I could really go for another Stockholm Syndrome.

Incredibly poor first five from Download this year, I'll save my money. Unless System headline the Sunday.
