Download was probably the quietest campsite of all the festivals I've been to. Not in a bad way. Quiet camping must be silent.

Quiet camping is brilliant at Download. Every time I go i'm there and it's dead quiet.

Cheers guys. I've just been searching about online too and have a better understanding of things now. Will ask friends what they're doing but reckon we'll end up going with the quiet site. Apparently you can swap them for the standard site at the box office anyway.

Mumford and Sons are headlining Reading Festival.

:dread:

Only reason I can ever see myself going back to Reading is if someone like Blur headlined. I'd get a day ticket for that

For God's sake. It was looking promising after Metallica were announced and that's a slap in the face.

Tragic, I've never camped in quiet camping because I quite enjoy drinking until 7am at festivals so I couldn't really comment, sorry.

I think Libertines are rumoured for the third headline act. They could be subbing Mumford though

They're headlining TITP so it's a pretty good bet.

I am really tempted to go and see Blur at British Summer Time in Hyde Park this summer. Does anyone know what time gigs there end? The last train back to Bristol is 11.30pm, I don't want to miss the end of the concert but at the same time don't want to have to pay for a hotel.

I think it is 10 or 10.30pm but you'll have a hellava time getting back to Euston I would presume. The tubes are rammed and the buses are stuck in traffic. You will need to formulate an escape plan for sure.

EDIT: I got it ALL wrong. The walk is 2.6 miles to Euston. Power walk it with a google map printout in your hand and it can be done in 45 mins :)

10 or 10.30 would be perfect as I would be going to Paddington which is just around the corner from Hyde Park. Cheers dude.

yeah Hyde Park residents complained about the noise one year so council put the cut off at 10.30pm max. Remember Bruce Springsteen literally had the plug pulled on his concert  :fp:

He won't be coming back to London any time soon haha!

British Summertime Supremacy 8-) Hoping it's not awful. I didn't fancy even attempting the tubes/trains afterwards so I've booked a hotel just opposite the park. Can't wait

As horrific as that is, there's a headliner I'd like to see on each night(THE BIZKIT/NFG, Metallica and Deadmau5).
