What is the best site for selling a gig ticket?

Not looking to make a profit or anything, just sell it for face value and avoid any fees/hidden costs.

Unless of course anyone on here wants a ticket to Slipknot at Alexandra Palace on Tuesday 9th Feb :shifty:

I'd avoid StubHub like the plague. Their fees are astronomical.

Is there a facebook page for the event you could post on to try and shift it? As long as you've got Paypal you can feasibly sell it anywhere you can write things.

I know Tragic is a big fan of Slipknot, so I will quote him here in case he wants it.

Thanks Moggy, it's nice to be thought of like that. Normally I'd jump at a chance to see them but I can't really get down to London then so I'll have to give it a miss. Sorry BTB! Saw them twice last year and both times were brilliant. I keep telling myself that I really need to go to a Slipknot concert and just watch them perform though. Every time I've seen them I've ended up just rocking out like nothing else and paid little attention to the stage.

Scarlet Mist is back up and running, or Twickets.

No worries! Never seen them live so looking froward to it (the ticket is from a mate who can't make it)!

I've put a message on the FB event as Frank suggested and will check out Scarlet Mist and Twickets if that doesn't work.

Thanks y'all.

How much you selling it for BTB? I know some folks that are going and wouldn't mind going to see 'em again.

Aha! £39.50 which is the face value, just make sure your mates are definitely going on the 9th and not the 10th as they are doing two dates at the same venue!

Can I let you know tomorrow mate? I've got family going on the 9th and potentially mates going on the 10th, so would rather go with my mates, but if not i'll probably nab that ticket from you tomorrow and go on the 9th instead.

I'm gonna have to pass on this unfortunately. My last train back is at 10:15pm, the Ally Pally site says the show finishes at 11pm so i'd have to drive down and stay at my mums for the night so that's another £30 on petrol and then the normal beer costs etc on top of that so would be looking at £100 or so all in and I can't really justify that. :(

Just noticed Weezer are doing a couple of dates in the UK in April, will definitely grab tickets for that as it's been ages since they last played over here (festivals notwithstanding).

Bit of a bump.

Anyone got anything booked for the summer? Managed to get Glasto tickets in the resale, as did all my friends which is surprising. Second time going so looking forward to going with a bit more experience.

Getting a Field Day ticket on pay day.

Seeing these guys in a couple of weeks as well

Anneke van Giersbergen, and Pelican next week. Then Mortiis next month for gooseberry fool and giggles.

Also probable:

Long Distance Calling
Mono
Sigur Ros
Steve Vai

Might go to Temples Festival too.

Bristol Summer Series, this summer

Yup, I've wanted to go since the first show in 2013, but I never really have anybody interested enough to come with me, and I'm not keen on doing a whole festival on my own :(

Anyone seen the lineup for that 3 day "mega festival" in California from the Coachella organisers?

Dylan
McCartney
Stones
Neil Young
The Who
Roger Waters

Not too shabby...

Been to see a couple of things at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival this weekend.

We saw Guy Garvey yesterday evening, it was a really enjoyable show. He was obviously playing a lot of stuff from his solo album, I'd only heard one or two songs beforehand but it was pretty good set and he's quite a funny guy in between songs. Also saw Penguin Cafe on Friday, very jaunty and eccentric. Telephone and rubber band is cool.
