Going to see Cold Play on Sunday at Wembley. Haven't been to a concert in over 20 years. :dread:

Little bit apprehensive about it all. Defintitly more anxious post Covid regarding busy events but was never a fan beforehand.

Got standing tickets, so am hopeful I can lurk at the back near the exit towards the bar.

The GF is beyong excited, and is planning to go 2-3 hours earlier than me so she can get close to the stage  :fp:

I haven't been to Wembley for a gig but at any stadium event I've been to it's only rammed at the front, if you just want to hang back you should have plenty of room, and be able to get to and from the bars and toilets fairly easily.

You have no idea how happy that makes me.

Glad that's set you at ease! There might still be queues at the bars but generally you'll have plenty of room towards the back of the event because everyone wants to go near the stage. I went to the London Stadium for a RHCP gig recently and they had bars set up specifically for certain drinks, so a rum bar, gin bar etc. and then the main bars in the concourse so the queues were not bad at all and and was all well managed, I would imagine Wembley will be similar. Enjoy anyway, don't stress too much about it!

 Really need to stress how usefu/valued your comments have been.

Do they tend to let you take drinks into the seating/standing areas does anyone know? I know they don't with football games.

Yes, you can take drinks to your seat. The alcohol law only applies to football, drinks are allowed for music and other sports.

Also, despite not really being my thing these days, Coldplay are an absolutely sensational live act. You'll have a wonderful time. :)

Tickets for Muses next tour go on sale next week.
UK Dates;
Sat 27th May Plymouth
Tue 20 June Huddersfield
Fri 23rd June Glasgow
Sun 25th June MK

Absolute nightmare to get to any of those. Was really hoping for a Manchester.

Going to try for Huddersfield.

What're we thinking £100 a ticket?

It's 1:54.

Mass of the Fermenting Dregs are on at 5:20.

I'm three hours from Bristol.

And I'm sat in a Kwik Fit replacing a tyre. :simper:

Mass of the Fermenting Dregs sounds like you're heading to the Brewdog pub.

Ah nice one man, would’ve sucked massively if you’d missed it.

I picked up a Sunday ticket for a festival next weekend where three bands are playing that I want to see. Found out just after buying that two of them clash. Mercifully it’s still just about worth the ticket but I’m still a bit annoyed.

Is this the Connect festival by any chance? We were supposed to be going up to Edinburgh next week to see Rage Against the Machine on Wednesday, I was a bit annoyed The National and Mogwai were playing on the Sunday of the festival as if it was the Friday we could have extended our stay and got a day ticket. Of course Rage have now cancelled so it's a moot point anyway

It is! It’s only an hour’s drive from Glasgow and the line up for the Sunday is right up my alley - I’d have liked to see Rage as well but I’ve seen them before and couldn’t spare the cash for two weekend passes, I feel a bit better about it now.

Unlucky though - hopefully they’re giving out refunds on the tickets. Looks like ZDlR ripped his ACL? Terrible luck! :dread:

Nice, yeah the lineup looks really good for the Sunday so you should have a good time.

It's very unfortunate for him but we are getting a refund and hadn't actually booked any travel so aren't losing out luckily. It also joins a long list of gigs we've had tickets for that were cancelled for various reasons, including Foo Fighters, Fleetwood Mac, Flight of the Conchords, Childish Gambino, Brand New, Genesis, The Weeknd.

If anyone has an artist they have any particular ill will towards let me know and if I buy a ticket they might get injured

Could you stop going to gigs and instead start planning to attend the Tory party conference?
