I picked up a Sunday ticket for a festival next weekend where three bands are playing that I want to see. Found out just after buying that two of them clash. Mercifully it’s still just about worth the ticket but I’m still a bit annoyed.
Is this the Connect festival by any chance? We were supposed to be going up to Edinburgh next week to see Rage Against the Machine on Wednesday, I was a bit annoyed The National and Mogwai were playing on the Sunday of the festival as if it was the Friday we could have extended our stay and got a day ticket. Of course Rage have now cancelled so it's a moot point anyway
It is! It’s only an hour’s drive from Glasgow and the line up for the Sunday is right up my alley - I’d have liked to see Rage as well but I’ve seen them before and couldn’t spare the cash for two weekend passes, I feel a bit better about it now.
Unlucky though - hopefully they’re giving out refunds on the tickets. Looks like ZDlR ripped his ACL? Terrible luck!
Nice, yeah the lineup looks really good for the Sunday so you should have a good time.
It's very unfortunate for him but we are getting a refund and hadn't actually booked any travel so aren't losing out luckily. It also joins a long list of gigs we've had tickets for that were cancelled for various reasons, including Foo Fighters, Fleetwood Mac, Flight of the Conchords, Childish Gambino, Brand New, Genesis, The Weeknd.
If anyone has an artist they have any particular ill will towards let me know and if I buy a ticket they might get injured
