The best things about them on Top Gear was challenges like that. I guess they can’t steal too many of the Top Gear format, but I would like to see a return to the cheap car challenges as well. Give them £500-£1000 each, get them to buy a sports car and tell them to drive somewhere. That’s far more enjoyable to watch than them trying to act in a parody of Edge of Tomorrow.
Judging by the "coming up" stuff it looks like that may happen.
It does seem they have a clearer idea of what they can and can't do which means they can relax more into the show and not be worrying it isn't going to be sued or whatever.
I quite like that this year they have stopped swearing like TG used to be, it sort of feels more "normal" that way with the odd bleep, like they can swear and stuff but it works better and is funnier when they dont.
