EDIT - 3 Minutes into the first match and Lita is strawberry floating injured! :fp:

Edit 2 - Now Bodde is injured on the 27th minute. Two subs down already

Unlucky pal, thankfully yet to recieve an injury in a game.....think i've now jinxed it.

Won't be able to get on this tonight as it's work's Xmas party and I've learnt from past mistakes to never take on FM when pissed because you wake up really regretting certain things.

Hopefully though I'll get all my screens so far including the HUGE morale boosting team meeting tonight.

I ended up winning the game 2-1; two corners and two headed goals by Tate

I've replaced my whole back four, got in two new DMC's, and one AMC. Would have liked a Striker too but my main target turned me down for Ajax.

I somehow managed to beat Dortmund to one of my free signings too.

How have you managed that with the transfer budget and very tight wage budget!?!

Would love a couple of extra defenders but the Chairman won't give me a fair enough compromise between more wages and a decent transfer kitty.

Plus don't want to sell the already minimal squad as too many signings can take a while for the squad to gel and being bottom isn't the best time to be lacking any teamwork.

Having had a brief scout round the game (simmed the first three fixtures) before I throw myself into this challenge tonight/ tommorrow. Its clear signings are going to be needed.
As far as the squad goes it is very weak though the Korean lad signed from Celtic and Caceras (sp) both look pretty good, though in Caceras case as a CB rather then DM. The Portugese gk and Vorm both look good so may look to sell one to raise some cash (goalkeepers always seems to raise good money). I've also noticed in his contract the Czech right back has match highest earner clause, so thats something to be wary of. The strikers are pants and hopefully I'll only have to keep Lita.
As far as signings go the only player I will be trying to sign for certain is Ivan Banalovski - though thats because I try and sign him every game anyway! Top quality strikers will be second and third on my list.

Doing a lot of scouting around. Team is very weak, especially in the winger and striker department.

No injuries so far, but kicked off with a 2-0 win against Wigan. Something tells me the opening salvo of Wigan, QPR, Blackburn, Mansfield and WBA is crucial. (Especially as soon you get Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd in quick succession!)

Managed to win my first game 3-1 thanks to a hilarious own goal, a lucky deflection and a fantastic team goal! I'm playing a 4-5-1 formation on the Counter attack and it worked brilliantly in the game against Wigan!

From what I can see the team needs some more defensive cover and a new LW desperately, a due to my tactics involving 3 central midfielders I'll need more cover there, but a good start!

Exactly. It was all going well for me, but Blackburn just dicked me 3-0.

strawberry floating FA Cup Replays. Destroying my teams fitness, I thought i'd be able to beat Wigan at home in the 5th round, but it ended 1-1, now i've got a replay against them. If I beat them, i've got an away draw at West Brom. Or Old Trafford.

I'm in the quarters of the FA Cup vs Cardiff but I can't buy a win in the league.

That game against Blackburn :x

Stood toe to toe with them the entire game, lost to a Samba corner goal. Hoping to destroy Mansfield to get the team's confidence back up!

Danny Graham just single handedly got me 3 points against Fulham. Went 0-1 down in the 35th minute, then he scored a goal in the 73rd to equalise, and the winner in the 94th minute. So lucky.

And that takes me out of the relegation zone for the first time too. 25 points and in 16th. If I win the next game and the teams above me stay the same, I go up to 13th. Assuming I can win at Chelsea away anyway...

I'm trying to get rid of my dead wood and I have no idea how to sell these players, even by offering them to clubs at ridiculously low prices. Any tips?

I didn't manage to shift anyone unfortunately. I would post a screenshot of all my purchases, but i've no idea how to get to that screen anymore.

I bought a CB for 700k from Corinthians who's already worth £2.7m, an AMC from Ajax, Dickson Etuhu in on loan, as well as Dodo from Bahia and the rock of a CB that is Friedrich on a free who's got an Average Rating of 7.21 so far.
