Best visuals: It's between Horizon Zero Dawn or Assassin's Creed Origins. Both looks stunning in 4K HDR and I love both. I have to say Assassin's Creed Origins to win this one, but it is very close though!

Best audio: n/a

Best multiplayer: Destiny 2. It's one of few games that I've played online with friends and GRcadians this year. Another one was Ghost Recon: Wildlands which I really enjoyed it, but I think Destiny have just edged it a bit.

Most anticipated game: The Last of Us Part II, Red Dead Redemption II, God of War, Shenmue III and so on... I'd say Red Dead Redemption II.

GRcade Game of the Year 2017: Horizon Zero Dawn. It was something different to play and it was a fantastic game too.

Best visuals: Assassin's Creed Origins. This was a tough choice but in the end I just had to go with the game that most made me go 'Wow!' - and that was AC Origins (on the PS4 Pro). The scale, the detail, the variety....it just looks fantastic! Loads to choose from this year; I've just started playing Horizon Zero Dawn too, which is mightily impressive to look at, while LOZ was also a stunner.

Best audio: Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild. I don't think this even has the best Zelda music etc by a long chalk, but it fits the game so utterly perfectly. The incidental stuff, the gentle rises and falls of the notes as you make your way across the land, all of it just transported me into this amazing world. I love when the sound of a game plays a huge part in my memories of it, and I can't think of any better examples of that happening than this.

Best multiplayer: Mario Kart 8. I don't really play too much multiplayer anymore, but this gets my vote because I've been playing it with my youngest son (he's 4) and it's been a load of laughs.

Most anticipated game: There's so much to look forward to! I think I'm pretty excited for a Switch Pokemon game though, so that gets the vote!

GRcade Game of the Year 2017: Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Just a wonderful, glorious experience from start to finish. It's not perfect.....but it's close.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

GR has shown some pretty good taste with those awards; it's good to see that Breath of the Wild met (and maybe exceeded?) expectations after being "highly anticipated" for a few years :) .

Thanks for organising the voting, Celer :toot: .

A clean sweep for Nintendo concerning 2017 awards, well deserved I think.

Will be interesting to see if Nintendo can manage anything like the dominance they had last year again any time soon, can't see it happening this year.

Nintendo have already brought out their big guns, certainly from a mass market appeal, so I doubt it. Never say never, though.

Personally I'm looking forward to Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 - if they get a release this year that is.

Having now played Ghost Recon Wildlands I would have nominated that as best multi-player. Combined with the enjoyable single player element, Wildlands is easily one of Ubisoft's best games in years.
