Important question - where do we stand on having the boiler serviced? That requires the CH to be turned on (shudder) for a brief time. We have to get ours done in the next couple of weeks and i'm not sure whether to cancel our booking.

Is it acceptable if it is shut off the minute the service person has driven off?

I've been forced out early this year!

We moved house in the summer and it would appear that I don't actually understand how the heating system works in the new place as despite me thinking I had set everything to off the heating has decided to come on for some unknown reason!

Actually slightly worried that the whole system is strawberry floated... :dread:
