I have black plastic sunglasses from boots. They aren't even polarised. Povvo chic.

Srs though large rims for bigger faces.

I got some brown square Ray Ban-style Barbour sunglasses recently. Keeps the sun out of my eyes, so that's nice

The struggle for finding glasses for the ample-faced gentleman is real.

I usually end up getting sunglasses with normal lenses :dread:

managed to get these last week though

I wear my Ray-Bans all the time :shifty:

So good  First time I visited my work contact at JLR I noticed she has almost the same pair. Genuinely got a bit worried that I'd bought women's glasses without anyone mentioning it.

Finally invested in some new sunglasses the other week, too:

Went all out with the frames, polarised and anti-glare and all the rest of it.

That's almost £500 worth of eyewear in one post. Not buying another pair for a decade.

Got a pair of ray ban aviators - totally worth it. So much more robust than cheaper brands. Plus they look badass.

Much as I'd like to be able to rock the aviators, 99% of people (including me) look like utter banana splits wearing them. I'd like to think I look like ice man in top gun, but I probably look like some sort of sex offending rat.

Apart from BEING RAY BANS innit can somebody actually explain to me how the strawberry float you benefit from a £70 pair in terms of quality etc?

All sunglasses seem to be spindly as strawberry float and highly likely to be lost/stolen/crushed.

I remember at glastonbury I lost 3 pairs of sunglasses over the weekend because I 1. lost them, 2. put them on some woman's head (noob mistake) and 3. sat on them. So it's not for me, really. I just bought a new pair every day.

Man I did get through a lot of notes that time. :dread:

Yeah.. but.. they're sun glasses. Made from the same alloy and stuff. Probably better tolerances, stronger alloy, clearer glass etc. I'm just curious or is it largely psychological?

They are just better in every respect, same as pretty much anything you pay more money for. And the lenses are actually useful.

Fair. gooseberry fool sunglasses do not handle glare well and it's like looking at everything through a sheet of bubblewrap.

My 'sunglasses' are a very stylish pair of UV laser safety goggles.

They do just about pass as 'normal' sunglasses to be fair.

My track record with losing or breaking sunglasses means I stick to £10 aviators from Next or Burtons or wherever.
