I could be wrong, but I think they've just charged you 50 quid for the privilege of going to sleep.

good one haha

Bunni wrote:It used to be like £30 the last time I bought a bottle and that's still half full. I'm not a regular user because my skincare routine is whack but it's good stuff.

Yeah there was a 30ml bottle for £38 but they told me the 50ml is better value so I went for that.

Glad to hear good things about it!

Also went into an Aesop store (London) for a few free samples as I had no idea what to buy.

Sounds like something made by Dr. Fünke's 100% Natural Good-Time Family Band Solution.

The fact they've called it Aesop is almost cast-iron proof they're trolling everyone.

I also like Aesop stuff. Their lip cream is brilliant in the winter.

Cool thanks. I got some samples so looking forward to seeing how they are.

I've recently started a Harry's subscription and their razors seem hellishly sharp. Probably the closest shave I've had for ages (usually use Hydro 5s) and the price seems pretty reasonable compared to WS/Gillette. The shave gel in the trial pack is quite nice too.

What products do you guys use on your hair?

I current use a wax but I'm starting to go thin on top  so want something that is not so stiff holding. Looking maybe at a putty but want something that will give me good hold.

Recommendations?

Toni & Guy workable matte paste(the one with the yellow writing) is what I'm using at the moment, it's much softer than wax but gives a good hold. It's in Boots, relatively inexpensive.

Fudge Hair Shaper is my staple. Decent hold if you're hair isn't too long (which mine is now :| ), your hair still feels soft and you can put your hands through it, and it doesn't make it look/feel greasy. It also smells of caramel.

Hello chaps, I’d like some advice.

I have used an electric razor all my life, but I’m increasingly disappointed with the quality of the shave. So in 2018 I think I’ll give wet shaving a go to see if there’s any improvement.

What razors and products would you recommend for a first time wet shaving novice?

Gently-Hung Holly Wreath wrote:Ive been using a oneblade just to keep my face trimmed up, before that an i-trim, because I like a few mm of stubble. Ive noticed that the more you keep up on trimming it, the thicker it grows everywhere. I have a patchy face in spots but even I have full cover now, if patchiness is a concern of yours.

I guess it just takes a bit to train the hair away from being soft after years of clean shaves.

One blades are brilliant. Everyone who has a beard/stubble should own one. I got the one blade pro, not the very top one but the one just below that, for about £30. Bargain.

For the best wet shave invest in a good shaving brush and cream.

The difference compared to using a foam/gel you just rub on your face is massive.

I use Kiehls lite flite shaving cream.

Which one did you get? I kinda want the one with the variable trimmer head but it costs several pounds.

My current iStubble has given up the ghost.

I got the one that you attach the trimming heads to rather than the adjustable one. Works fine for me.

I’m currently sat here with a black face feeling like a right ponce trying out L’Oréal Men’s new “Clay Mask”. Smells nice though.
