I went for Aha because I love the song and the video.

Its hard. JC for the Trent Reznor link. And its a better video, which is what its all about anyway.

Love Cash but my heart says Aha.

Aha's was iconic at the time, but Hurt is the best music video ever made, so it has to win.

If anyone's not watched it, assuming the Aha one is better, then I urge you to click play. It can't ever have quite the same impact as the first time you see it though. My wife and I both watched it and were just sat there barely able to speak afterwards.

The last thirty seconds are nigh on unwatchable. It's hugely powerful, and very, very sad.

One thing that's always irked me somewhat about Cash's cover of this song, is that instead of 'I wear this crown of gooseberry fool, Upon my liar's chair', he sings, 'I wear this crown of thorns...'. I understand Cash's reasons for doing this, as he's commented in the past that he's not into casual use of profanity; but it obviously changes the imagery of the line, which was perfectly good in the first place. That 'gooseberry fool' was put there by Reznor with thought, not flippancy.

Anyways, a nice enough video, but Thriller deserves to win the comp over it.
