Reminder: You are voting on either the song or the video. Or both. Up to you.
You have 4 votes. Top 4 go through to the next round!
Strawberry Fields Forever - Its a great song, but being the Beatles gets you a free ticket through one round, but its already at the point where the competition is too strong. Out.
Chemical Bros and Star Guitar, its an amazing video, and they need to be in at LEAST the last 16. It would be ridiculous if they werent. Its a brilliant video, so they go through.
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer is one of the best videos ever made, I nominated it, its unbelievably watchable, its a great song, Peter Gabriel is amazing, and its just was MADE to be played over and over on MTV. Awesome - and In.
Radiohead....hmm, not a big fan of the band really, and none of their videos bar one totally blows me away. This isn't that video and there are more deserving winners from this group, so I'm putting it out.
The Prodigy and Smack My Bitch Up - Its a clever video, its a shocking video, and it made people talk for ages. Its still great now, and I just love this song, would gives it a head start. I think last 16 it could struggle, but I feel its good enough to get through to okayish grouping. Through.
Queens of The Stone Age - Now this is tough. Its a great video, iconic of the Noughties, but for me....and it was a bloody hard decision, its the sixth best video in this group, and so shockingly I put it out.
Which leaves Conchise and Road to Nowhere. Talking Heads have given so much to the art of music videos throughout music history, but this video as brilliant as it is isn't the iconic one. So in probably a very contravresial decision (the biggest one since wanting Tretemoller through), I'm going for Audioslave. I just love it, its so simple, but the performance feels so alive. I urge more votes for it!
